I thought the BBC might have got cold feet and pulled Panorama from showing inside North Korea but they didn't.

The undercover reporter was fearing for his life and shaking in what is probably the most dangerous place in the world at the moment. Terrible living conditions, a hospital with no patients in it, piles of corpses left unburied, no electricity at night. People are brainwashed into thinking the USA are to blame for everything bad that is happening to their part of the country. It looked as though North Korea is ready for nuclear war under this bleak communist regime.

Difficult to believe they could fight any sort of war for long after seeing that.

Was a shame that prat John Sweeney documented this as it was a great opportunity to get a genuine insight into North Korea - like in all his documentaries he goes in with a set agenda without interest in learning anything new. Unfortunately for him and this piss poor documentary, the closest he got to obtaining any footage to support this agenda was the predictable interviews with defectors living in South Korea - and pretending he was fearing for his life on a balcony, which appeared to fool this poster anyway (North Korea is amongst the safest tourist resorts in the world)... Well, at least he didn't have a nervous break down in this one.
Thus spake the NK travel agent.....if it is so good how come your not living there mate...

i thought it looked like it had been a nuclear winter in parts.

yeah, empty hospitals, power brown outs, blatant false translations, "farms" with no farming, are all normal regular things. you're right though, we didnt really learn anything new, it was a little short on revelation and long on reinforcing what we already know.

For example the likes of Ethiopia has more than twice the wealth of North Korea, and have you seen the quality of life there. The fact it has a first world city like Pyongyang is an achievement in itself, all things considered. Comparing it to first world nations is horribly close minded.

wow. have you been programmed or something? in Ethiopoa we dont get shown round the "latest state of the art hospital" or off to see little model families in model houses with model posessions. we dont see the state cirus performing to a crowd of robotic officers, or the translator lieing through their teeth to completely change a comment. its called propaganda, i know you think its coming from people like the BBC, but its pretty clear where its really coming from, unless you propose they staged all that.

Go to any other country with third world wealth and you will see a hell of a lot worse than that mate. For example the likes of Ethiopia has more than twice the wealth of North Korea, and have you seen the quality of life there.
So does Ethiopia pay for state of the art hospitals, and not bother to see anyone that's sick?

wow. have you been programmed or something?
He's mental.

what happened with this? Did it end up in the hands of the pools panel?

this fixture had so much potential.

Now we have to put up with USA v Syria all summer,a fixture rather akin to The Albion V Whitehawk (a certain amount of initial interest, but when it all boils down its probably best to stay indoors and watch the wresting on ITV)
