I'd take 750k, we spent 250k on him this time last year, sure he can skip past players at will but he has struggled to do anything with it afterwards all season (except THAT assist vs. Donny ) I think we could invest that money in a position where we really need it better personally.

People are mad on here. Quite mad. If Bennett is worth 1.5, how on earth is Noone worth anywhere near that? He isn't.

Agree I love to watch nooney but there ain't enough end product,if we think we should get more than 750k for him then we should have got bout 4million for Bennett.

Bennett was worth more than £1.5m for starters, and if we'd kept him im sure we would be in a play off place. Noone is worth more than 750k for us because we wouldnt get any better than him for that cash. Buckley cost us significantly more than that ffs and id put them on a par at the moment. At Reading away Noone put in 3 crosses that were all sitters but missed. He certainly does have end product and is still learning.

What possible upside is there to us in selling for less than a million? We dont need the money and Championship sides dont sell players like him for less unless they are desperate for cash.

Noone is a better player than people are suggesting. To sell him for anything less than a million profit, which means at the very least a £1.25million fee would be a bad decision. Especially considering the sell-on clause. Plymouth fans will be following this hoping we get at the very least a million for him. His value in the summer market would be less than it is in january, that's just how the market works. If you want to buy now, you pay higher.

I do agree with that there is no point selling him coz u rite who r we gunna get in,it's just not worth the hassle of having to go out and get a new winger .unless the player wants to go,but I dnt think he does then I'd just say 2 mill or nothing simple.

Maybe he isn't happy not being a first choice starter? Maybe Poyet is worried about his ability to take instruction or his decision making? Maybe he has a Welsh GF? Maybe Poyet wants more room for DS members to feature in the match day squad? Maybe a winger Poyet likes has become available.
There's so many possible factors, and, clearly, his has legs.
After all, why would Cook leave (and why would we sell him)?
Everyone seems to be making the mistake that it's certain either we want him or he wants to be here.

We shouldn't even be contemplating selling Noone. End of.

It's what the player is worth to the club and I think at the moment he is worth around a million. People talk about Nooney not having the end product but if you look at how much he has improved since last year who is to say that this will not improve over the rest of this season and next. Looking at Buckley and KLL against Wrexham today and over the season so far I still would value Noone over both these players, not to mention the fact that I just love watching him play.

Why are people still talking about this? Grant Hall is the reason we sold Steve Cook.

Jesus.
I'm using that transfer as an example of how it's easy to dismiss selling players without knowing all the details.
I'm not saying we should sell Noone, and i'm not saying we shouldn't have sold Cook, i'm just suggesting that maybe people shouldn't be so quick to be defensive on here and actually consider the bigger picture. Namely, no player is indispensable.
Poyet's comments re: Noone clearly suggest he would consider a future bid.

Completely different situations though, I understand what you're saying but I think we could afford to sell Cook because of the situation. I don't think Noone is the same sort of thing, but I deffinitely think we'll sell given the right offer. And I wouldn't be opposed to that either. If we want to get something out of Vicente whilst keeping JFC in the picture, we're going to have an odd man out. I love Craig Noone, I would be loathe to lose him but his place in this squad does look a bit dispensible.

Ergo, sell him for a decent amount. 750k is a decent amount.

No, Steve Cook is the reason we sold Steve Cook. Good player that is he is, Brighton got an offer they thought was fair and wanted to let the boy play.
