Lets get one thing straight I am not objecting to people standing up as indeed I do when the players come out and when an exciting moment happens as I am sure that the emotion takes over for everybody when they see CMS or Buckley running towards goal with a one on one with the goalie and I can fully understand that. My point of objection is the idots that continually jump up shouting 'stand up if you hate Palace or We're the West Stand etc both totally pointless chants and then continue standing until the next round of chants. Most peoople at Brighton hate Palace but dont give them the time of day to boost their ego and who cares if you are in the west stand or the north stand supporting your team.

As regards the club and the CCTV it is not as somebody else said, a case of winning, but the club maintaining their stated stance of not permitting standing up which incidentally is against their ground certificate regulations.

You're a fun sort of person, aren't you?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but had the club actually allocated an area for older or less mobile people, then this could have been avoided. Though maybe like me they didn't envisage "some" of the moans and thought that there would be more tolerance shown. After all its a 5football match not a theatre!

But the "stand up, if you 'ate palice" sung many times at games these days, can be extremely boring.

Hopefully over time at Falmer, better songs and ones that are pro-Albion, will develop.

Well until we get better chants, we have that. So I'm afraid you will have to live with it. And it has to be sung at the Palace game. It wouldn't be right if it wasn't.

Its interesting that going by the numbers that do stand up, there are more Brighton fans that don't hate palace than do.
So you are in the minority.

I paid for a seat ticket..hence i am happy to sit down...unless action moves up other end and then everyone stands up to see...or we score...then u just jump out the seat...if i had wanted to stand all the time i would probably have bought a north stand season ticket..its kinda of expected there...but the footballs no less fun from where i sit...its not complicated ..its simple

The vast majority of season ticket holders in the front half of the North Stand sit for most of the game. If you "can't stand" this intolerable state of affairs ... I'm inclined to remind you that the Club suggested that "enthusiastic supporters" should get their season tickets towards the back of the North Stand.

My season ticket is a couple of rows from the back of the North Stand, just frustrates me when I have a bloke behind me that won't stand, because I want to stand, but don't want to block his view.

Before anyone starts to tell me the history of Brighton and Palace I've been going for 46 years so I know it. But as far as I'm concerned Palace is a Mickey Mouse outfit who I don't give a shit about. I'll be on my feet if it gets exciting but I'm not one of those prats who has to jump around at a throw in on the half way line. Many of the posters seem to think you have to stand all the time to show your passion, if you want to go back to the pre Hillsborough days when you were lucky to see half the game good luck to you. I think football's come a long way and appreciate having a seat where I can see all four corners

i think you need to be educated about the history of this fixture!

Oh dear. What is it with the wind-up merchants on here in the last week or so?
I spend a fair bit of time on my feet when there is something exciting happening on the pitch but encouraging people to flout the rules that the club/league/council/HSE etc have set just for the sake of it..................? if you want to stand for 90 minutes go watch non-league. It's nothing to do with Palace and nothing to do with rivalry. IT IS JUST A WIND-UP!

Just because you put the years in it does not mean you have been educated, i suggest you try going back over our history and concerntrate this time:moo: 4/10 could do better, easily distracted!

I find small mind mentality pathetic, big clubs laugh at the minor rivals ie Man Utd over City, Liverpool over Everton Arsenal over Yids. The little teams have to get worked up over the big rivals. I do not consider Palace to be a big club, as I say a Mickey Mouse outfit who I do not give a shit about. But please oh wise one give me an education and see if you can tell me something I don't know or information on a game against Palace that I haven't seen in the last 46 years.

Where do you differentiate between up holding up the law against "grassing".
ie , someone advising a bus driver a passenger does not have a correct ticket, it that grassing or holding up the law ?
Someone incorrectly parked in a disabled spot, is that grassing or holding up the law ?
Someone you know has committed burglary, is that grassing or holding up the law ?
Someone committing assault, is that grassing or holding up the law ?
Someone committing murder, is that grassing or holding up the law ?

Where in you mind is it acceptable to holding up the law ?
you're showing your true colours aren't you !, yeah don't raise any issues to someones face just go and tell someone else about it
