Oh and that fcuking cheating diving wanking twat face of an excuse for a human being Ronaldo doesn't play for Liverpool either.

No but diving twats Gerrard, Torres, Alonso and Mascherano do.

I just dont understand why its not acceoptable to support Man Utd if you live in the South but somehow it is Liverpool?

Hmm, yeah I do hate Notts County but the 1983 Final hurt much much more as I was younger.

I cant go with your argument for the family though. Dunno if you've been in the same position but when new members of your family are born, as a Brighton fan your dream is to have them follow you and to be able to take them to games (think early part of the film Fever Pitch) when this is all brought down by a team who you already dislike for beating you in a cup final in your first season of supporting your team it becomes unforgettable & unforgivable.

Don't understand that at all.

Were they supposed to let us win?

I'm a Brighton fan and have been since I was a child. Have never supported another team.

I hated no body more than Man United when we lost the relay to them at Wembley - and for a few years I just couldn't be rational about them.

However, when that crop of amazing youngsters came through the system (Giggs, Beckham, Neville et al) they won me over. They played lovely football with great style. They were young and fearless and they had nothing to do with Ron Atkinson. Since then I have followed Man U and I like them to win. The current team are fantastic to watch (and every team has it's divers) and always entertaining and bold.

If Brighton played Man U (some hope) there would be no debate about who I would support - Brighton every single time and winning by as many goals as possible. But if Man U are in a competition where we are not (and that's pretty much every competition) then I root for them.

I'm no glory hunter - I've not jumped on a band wagon - I haven't abandoned my home town club (in fact I've stuck my poor son with the Albion now too). I'm a Brighton fan and supporter, but I am also a Man U follower.

Excatly the same with me - and with my son!

I find hatred of other clubs, especially Man U, is usually without logic and often based purely on envy with spurious reasons used to hide that envy. Most of the time it is very boring and laughably childish.

I would have issues with Leeds if they get points back and another club loses out, but that would be agianst the club, not the fans or players. It was the same with Chesterfield.

Totally agree, in my experience most rabid United haters are childish sheep who haven't a clue why they 'hate' the club, 'they just do.'

Great quote by Townsend to Rider:

"To be fair Steve, his (Riise) right foot's not one of his best".

How many feet has he got then, Andy? A golfbag full?

So Riise earns £40K a week but can only kick with one foot and is also shit at heading near his goal. Prem footballers overpriced, anyone?

One thing I found absolutely f***ing HILARIOUS was the picture in the Metro this morning.

The picture is taken from behind the Kop goal with the ball ARROWING into the top corner of the net, and the scene of Anfield in the rest of the picture was of the bin dippers with their scarves aloft, presumably singing "you'll never walk alone" rather prematurely it seems. Chortle.

Can't find the one from the Metro - but this is the kind of thing I expect:
