I firmly believe that the state and the mechanism of justice has no right and to decide to end someone's life as an end in itself (obviously wars etc. are different - killing people is not the AIM of them: achieving strategic aims is).
And please, spare us a list of hideous crimes that have been committed. Not one of them will ever convince me at least that my tax money being used to end someone's life would be a good thing.
