I stopped drinking 10 years ago and don't regret it for a second.
My wife says I make bad decisions when drunk, so to prove her wrong I agreed to not drink for 2013.
Not quite sure how it all came about as I was drunk at the time I agreed.
Guess she has a point
Yep. Going into pubs and ordering a lemonade or coke is still seen as strange by bar staff in pubs. They make you feel as if you've just been beemed down from another planet.
Drinking is fun and does not really affect the body as long you drink in moderation, why give up something you enjoy.
Fairly regularly.
Wine in week. Few lunchtime beers if in London.
Beers on Brighton home games.
Most of my socialising is done whilst boozing.
Gonna be a challenge for sure
I used to drink it all. now no booze this jan for 7 yrs now, never felt better pysically and mentally, your just have to avoid pubs and don't buy any. you're probably lose 98 percent of your so called friends but is a great way to find out who your real mates are. you will have a great deal more cash in your pocket feel better and live longer,it's not easy but worth it.
I probably drink 1 bottle of wine or 4 cans of lager a night.
I really do like the thought of giving up drinking, but i know I will struggle, however i would never of thought I would give up smoking and I did, so nothing is impossible I guess. I probably drink 1 bottle of wine or 4 cans of lager a night.
Am packing in drinking for 2013.
Has anybody ever done anything like this themselves?
Reckon its gonna be quite a challenge.
