I don't disagree with what you've said, most of us have been here a long time and understand that NSC is a broad church of opinions and can't be thought of as a single entity with an opinion.

What I will say is that political threads these days are dominated by a handful of posters who are obsessed with left wing politics and rely too much on twitter for their opinions. Twitter has ruined political debate on NSC IMHO, because everyone just tries to shout each other down and it becomes a numbers game where the prevailing opinion always wins out. It always used to be combative, but it was always argued in good faith which is rarely the case these days.

Look at the phantom reform candidates stuff earlier in the thread and how excited people got over some blatant misinformation, there's absolutely no evidence that it's true and it doesn't even make sense that they'd do it - it's probable more effort to commit fraud and invent a person than it is to e-mail a member and ask if you can use their details.

I wonder if some people just need to fight a bogey man. It'll be Reform until the Tories get their act together.
