[News] Nigel Farage and Reform

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
The new cult is this:

He wants a new 1 million inhabitant Martian city established by 2045.

One can only assume that the evil genius is trying to make living on Earth such an uncomfortable experience with c***s like Trump, Putin and Farage in charge that they volunteer for his mad experiment.

Let’s be clear. He wants to claim, own and run a planet. Mad c***.

Musk is evil but he's no genius. He inherited a fortune from his parents and bought his 'success'. Like Trump, he is losing money hand over fist. X is worth a fraction of what Twitter was.

It's incredible how, like Trump, he's created this false story about himself and so many fall for it. I've got a mate who I've known for 30 years, has a well-paid job and a reasonable level of influence in a big UK company. He was an early adopter of Tesla here having wanted one from whenever they were first released in the US and bought into the Musk-myth fully (though in those days I think most saw Musk as "quirky" rather than anything else). It's disturbing seeing how a smart, compassionate bloke is now such a follower of Musk he sees him as a basically infallible genius whose technology is capable of bettering life for all, meaning anything he supports, like Trump, must also be 'good'. It's been gradual, but it's like his capacity for critical thinking has been removed and you can't challenge him at all, he'll just dismiss anything anyone says. If Musk funds Farage and Reform that'll be the acid test I think. My mate has a holiday house in France and was very pro-EU.

Musk may not be a 'genius' technologist, he has arguably been a 'genius' hypeman and capital raiser for his businesses. Twitter aside, they're all going great guns (AFAIK).

Fair enough, although that was always going to happen eventually - they had a significant first mover advantage but are now in a very competitive marketplace (and a marketplace which has stagnated, or even shrunk).

Not sure that's the case for non-mods?

Interesting... ??? Definitely not the case for mods

(In Moderator mode, every user avatar defaults to a picture of Fiona Bruce eating a melting cornetto. Bozza has told us it can't be changed and "that's just the way it is.")

that's about shape of it. for the cult side that turns a blind eye, there is a counter cult side that makes up stuff. of course the truth is somewhere down the middle and changes over time. he's made a lot of money, also spent a lot of other peoples money, but still they keep shoveling it to him which would be wierd if he was so unsuccessful. he was once the darling of Democratic circles, now chief Trumpian... goes where ever the money is really.
