All (I meant all)?

(Taking a needlessly-bumpy ride down ambiguity avenue is one of my traits  ).
Yes, all.

You can see if a user has been banned from the site by looking at any post they’ve made - their name will be struck through with a horizontal line.

What you won’t be able to tell is whether the ban is temporary or permanent. In RBR’s case, it’s permanent.

Oh, wow!

Thanks. I have to say that's great news.

It was tough for me to have to put someone claiming neurodiversity on ignore, and did so only when I was 90% confident he was lying.

Not content with using his wealth to pollute American politics Musk now looks set to meddle in ours as the likelihood of him donating to Reform is looking increasingly real . I think he's more of a megalomaniac than Trump, if that's possible....

And there was silly me thinking that Farage and Reform UK supported Brexit precisely to end foreign interference in British politics

Especially when he used to whinge about George Soros.

I'd be even more worried if his name was Damian

It’s quite amusing how Musk panders to a group of people who absolutely hate Teslas.
It wouldn't surprise me if they, all of a sudden, now loved Teslas, EVs and everything else Musk stands for.

Either that, or Musk will walk away from EVs (unlikely, but he's potentially going to be in a difficult situation if Trump goes big on gasoline-fuelled vehicles) and turn his attention into another product/industry that will generate a new cult.

Probably just coincidence that they arrived the same day RBR disappeared

Well.

I was just reading that thread - and read a few of their posts. I then thought - I might just pop back onto the Farage thread to mention to @Harry Wilson's tackle that it might be a coincidence that a new poster has suddenly appeared and is writing like this, so he might want to get his ignore function up and running.

I find you have beaten me to it!

do you know which US state produces move renewables? oil loving Texas. strange bedfellows are made in USian politics. much the value of Tesla is attributed to the self driving tech and other things, which in the whole aim towards the idea of removing personal control, responsiblity and ownership. which also happens to be a whole group of ideals and objective the Trumpians and Farage fanbois are very against. funny really.

The new cult is this:

He wants a new 1 million inhabitant Martian city established by 2045.

One can only assume that the evil genius is trying to make living on Earth such an uncomfortable experience with c***s like Trump, Putin and Farage in charge that they volunteer for his mad experiment.

Let’s be clear. He wants to claim, own and run a planet. Mad c***.

At 53 Musk is 25 years younger than Trump and nearly 20 years younger than Putin, which means we could potentially see Musk exerting his own malevolent influence on the world for the next 25 years or more, and completely unprecedented in terms of the personal financial resources available to him to do it with.

What happened with the American election has made Musk realise the level of power and influence he can actually wield, and he's enjoying it. Now he's come to that realisation he's going to take it as far as he can and he's now demonstrating he doesn't just want to shape America into his own idealised perverse image, he wants to do it with the rest of the world. This UK/Reform interference is only the beginning, and probably a testing of the water to see how that goes.

This is all new to him too, but he's got plenty of time to find out what he can do, how far he can go, and what he can get away with.

A world shaped by Musk is a dystopian one, and worryingly that's where we might be heading.
He might become a real life Bond villain.

Yeah, he’s a dick, but his drive for technological advancement is hugely impressive.

Sadly he seems to have believed his own hype. If only he’d become more reclusive instead of going down the road of taking over twitter and getting political.

I’ve noticed a bit of a trend in various walks of life, of people attempting to make themselves unsackable/uncancellable.

I believe it’s called “fortress building”.

They claim or exploit a protected characteristic to make themselves a nightmare for mods or HR departments and the like.

Dealt with one at work recently.

They know they lack the skills or aptitude to perform their job role properly, blag their way into a role and then immediately begin building their fortress.

Constantly directly or indirectly referring to their protected characteristic. Always drawing attention to their diversity/ characteristic. More than a legit person would.

It’s not actually hard to spot them and they expose themselves very quickly but you have to tread very carefully.

They usually mess up quite quickly.

Very disrespectful to people who genuinely have protected characteristics and those who want to just get on with their job etc without too much attention being drawn to themselves or their diversity.

Not sure that's the case for non-mods?

Oh. I stand corrected then. Maybe it is just for mods.

Is that image from a post or from his profile (or can’t you see his profile any more?)

I’m just curious. Though I guess I could create a second account and have a look myself.
From a post. Indeed, from the post that prompted the ban.

Profile - returns 'oops, we ran into a problem....'

I worked for more than 40 years as someone who was his 'own worst enemy'. Still no 'official' support (albeit my HoD is excellent), but I do get cut some slack these days.

People taking the piss can get into the sea.

Don't get much piss taking where I work as far as I can see. Wrong brain wrongy would be well down the Thames and into the estuary, playing hide the condom with the mud sharks by now were he to take the piss where I work. One would hope.
