At least he got himself in the right places at the right times. That's half the battle anyway. He'll come good, no worries.

he had decent service, 3 one on one's he was given and shanked them all.
what about alex are you going to start on him for the way he shanked when nicky went round the keeper?

the 1st one he was going away from goal ok should have done better but not the easiest chance in the world

if mcghee had signed him you'd be asking for patience get of the players and wilkins back we have had 2 bloody games !

Revell scored one and won the penalty yesterday. What more do you want?

Quite the opposite personally. I'd leave him be, and consider savage on the right. that's where he did his damage yesterday.

Bas also adds some much needed height and physical presence to the midfield.

I think there's genuine healthy competition for places up front and thats great.

Revell's work rate on Saturday was outstanding. Very good player and did very well as a target man (every forward ball from the back was to Revell's head).

Bas looked very threatening when he came on too.

I think the problem with Forster on Saturday was that Revell was the target man for our attacks and also the one who chased every thing down. Forster works very hard too but its hard to match Revell's standards! Yes, he had a few chances, but he's better (from what I saw in the friendlies) when he gets the ball under control near goal and can twist and turn. His chances on Sat were very much running onto the ball and having to get a shot away, when he didn't have full control over the ball.

Also, another point I'd like to make is that Bas should be the man partnering Forster. Revell, despite his goal yesterday, from a skill point of view is not really a league footballer. He works hard, I know. He makes it hard for defenders, I am sure. But, he doesn't really offer much to his strike partner. I was watching him yesterday, and he was playing so far away from Forster it was unreal. Bas can hold the ball up brilliantly, he can run with the ball, he can lay it off for others, and most importantly he scores goals. In fact, he scored the goals to keep us up last season, and all he's been rewarded with is a place on the bench. It showed yesterday just what an impact he can have. Within minutes of him coming on we looked threatening, and he created more chances in 10 minutes than anyone else did all game.

I'm not expecting anyone to agree with me, as there is a bit of a Revell love-in on this board, and I sense a bit of negativity towards Bas from some, but hey that's my opinion, and I'd have Bas in the team every single time.

'Bas should be the man partnering Forster. Revell, despite his goal yesterday, from a skill point of view is not really a league footballer'

What the f**k are you on? Since when did bas have more skill than Revell?

Also Revell was key in us winning the game and you want him dropped? What an idiot.
