Just astonished some folk here are still upset about this.

- Young lads, on a break
- away from the glare of the media
- sitting quietly (quite well behaved in the video)
- being a bit silly with the balloons but nothing illegal
- not harming anyone
- far FAR worse behaviour in any pub any night in Brighton

Someone brought up the point about sponsors etc, I guess I can kinda see that. But again, nothing illegal or harmful here as far as I can tell?

The only negative I see is that it puts Paul Barber and Potter slightly on the spot. As the tabloid reports may give the impression they’re disrespecting their and the clubs authority.

It’ll all blow over I’m sure...

The stupidity of this is that if you are in a team that has won 2 out of the last 16 games, to be filmed doing this is only going to give massive ammo to the fans who are on their backs at the moment and disappointed as it is. Gross struggling to break 100 metres in under 25 seconds may get some stick at the Amex because of this. It is just daft

You'll be laughing on the other side of your face when Gross rises above the rest at the back post to head in the winner next week!

Very interesting, thank you. Informative first graphic.

I was aware of Nutt’s views on LSD, Cannabis and Ecstasy, and I thought about posting. But far better coming from you. Much of his argument is that alcohol and tobacco are more harmful. Many of us kind of knew that already, but it’s nigh on impossible to prohibit something hitherto legally taken by half the population (see the US Prohibition).

Exactly.

Culture and history are important.

I am however aware that culture and history have been used to justify the rule of thumb, women's place (in the home), public smoking and various other things so despite my comments about risk and benefit there is merit in Kalimantan Gull's views.

All the best

Just astonished by your astonishment. These muppets aren't Young Lads On A Break FFS  They're supposed to be professional athletes with some modicum of discipline and self-respect. DK/MP/us fought for YEARS and TB has invested hundreds of millions of pounds to get to where we are now - which appears to creating a safe space for young rich trash lads to go on a jolly

I seem to have blissfully missed 25 pages of utter outrage. Brilliant reading however.

Back when I was a full time professional student, i partook in several madcap capers of this sort, heck i even enjoyed ‘doing joss sticks in my bedroom whilst listening to captain Jack by Billy Joel. If I’d known all I needed to do was pop down the local Clinton store and get me some balloons, well boy, I would have pushed Shane Duffy to the floor to ensure I got the last pack of fun size euphoria enablers... I digress.

Whilst they can’t be described as young, i suspect this may all be explained by the group bonding theme of the lads we’ll earned warm weather break. Perhaps GP had small groups of the players, apprentice style, attempting some kind of primitive beach front entertainment? I hear that Dan Burn and Leo put on a mean ventriloquist act and Glenn put on a brilliant Punch and Judy show, with a punch that was strangely reminiscent of a certain hot headed striker... all in a good cause, to raise money for the local donkey sanctuary... God bless everyone of them.

Was it you that was screaming for a policeman when some posters were taking the piss out of Phil Scofield last week? :lolol::lolol:

In fairness, a week’s a long time on NSC.

The thing for me is that the club are paying for the players to be on a break, I presume for team building and training. What they have been caught doing isn’t the end of the word but imagine if you were Tony Bloom. You’ve put Millions of pounds into this club. Is it to much to ask for the players to remain professional while away on a club trip to avoid this sort of controversy. Warranted or not. The players can do what ever you want at home. When they are out, as this video shows, being a Premier League footballer makes you a target.

Exactly and they are paid more than most running their own businesses themselves.

Unfortunately a number of defenders (on here) liken what they have done to getting shit faced, doing a line or too and photocopying their under carriage at a sales conference in Swindon.

The reality is no-one cares about them. They aren't the face of a global business.

Err, yes that all may well be true, but how does partaking in a silly balloon prank = “a lack of self respect”? Don’t really get that one.

And again it’s all legal mind, and not really harmful to themselves or others. So still don’t get the outrage.

Have you actually seen video?

Away from the media? They’re stupid if they thought this; with the prevalence of smart-phones, you’re never away from the media.
