To be fair we can't possibly expect to lose to The Chiefs, Raiders & Browns and still get into the playoffs. Too many bottlejob games without Polamalu this season
Quite right, if we do scrape through to the playoffs though, I'm finding it tough to justify another Superbowl.
Incidentally how did u come to be a Steelers Fan?
For me my Ma was born in Pittsburgh but emigrated to this country. Never seen them live, but been to Oakland v Tampa in 1981 and Houston v San Diego in 1982. Great memories of Moon v The Flout's Fly...

so, that's it for the regular season. da bears scrapped to a 7-9 finish. very disappointing really, i think we'll see a total coaching clear out now, so long as our bloody general manager gets the boot i'll be happy. offensively we had nothing, no ideas no decent plays nothing, so get rid of him too and unfortunately i think "in lovie we trust" has run it's course.
as predicted pittsburgh miss out, just needed too many results to go their way.

Well, way back in September I said I'd be ecstatic with an 8-8 record for the Broncos but given out 2-8 finish to the season it's hard to feel that way. I always thought that the 6-0 start gave us a false position but we when you don't in a divisional home game - especially with the Raiders and Chiefs in there - you don't deserve a play off place.
Overall Orton did well for us this season but it looks like the Marshall situation will drag on for another close season despite looking like it had been sorted earlier in the season. Moreno looks promising for a rookie and Dawkins has been great for our defence.

Predictably enough the Jags lost in Cleveland. Del Rio's body language all game seem to say "F ck this. Let's get this over with and get back on the plane". Time for him and Garrard to go but sadly neither of those will happen. On a happier note the Gators killed Cincy and showed once again that no-one outside the SEC is worth a light. Happy New Year to all.

Really? The talk all night from Halling on Sky over here was that very strong rumours Del Rio was gone? I was surprised to not see it this morning but i'm sure it will happen won't it? Still, you're in a better position to know than us!

think Jacksonville may wait to see who becomes available before making a decision with Del Rio. Garrard looks likely to stay, as i think he signed a big extension not long ago, though it will be interesting to see if the rumours about them moving heaven and earth to get Tebow amount to anything..

Firstly, congratulations last Sunday.
Packers have exceeded my expectations this year - having just won in Arizona I find it a bit strange that we're playing them againthis week in the Wild Card game.

Del Rio still has 3 years on his contract at 5 million dollars a year. The word here is that he will still be coach next season for two reasons. Firstly Jags can't afford to pay him off and secondly with a 65% turn over in players and a lot of rookies he was/is always going to be judged more on next season's performance.
Looking like a good weekend in prospect with the Wild Card games. Weird coincidence that three of them are repeats of last week. Already missing the college season. Roll on September!

Just watching the FedEx Orange Bowl on Fox between Georgia Tech and Iowa. Good game so far - Iowa 14 / 6 up in the 1st, GT just got a touchdown.

Ravens took the lead against Pats with an 82 yard run on the first play of the game then strip sacked Brady on the next play and scored a TD off that possession. 14-0 with less than 5 mins gone!
They would be better doing that in the last 5 mins.

Ha ha ha, Brady has been sacked twice, fumbled and picked off twice now in about 5 pass plays! 21-0 Ravens with 1st and goal still in the first quarter! Incredible
