This might come back to haunt me but I wouldn't give the Jets a cat in hell's chance at the Colts next week. The Saints/Vikings game is a tough one to call but for now I'm going to predict a Colts vs Saints Superbowl.

Then again I was sure the Chargers would beat the Colts earlier today so what do I know!

Yeah, but who wouldn't want to go to San Diego. A little piece of cielo on earth.

And the Chargers should have won today. Unbelievably bad kicking on those three field goal attempts - he missed as many today as he had ALL SEASON. When it comes down to it, one man has to carry the can for the whole team having their season ended, which is brutal for the guy concerned.

Yes and no. The 57-yarder I can understand missing, but he should have nailed the other two. Having said that, the Chargers are a slightly flawed team. The passing offense is spectacular, but we can't run the ball any more, or defend the run, or make many plays in the secondary, or put consistent pressure on the quarterback. I think even if we'd got past the Jets, against a more complete team (ie the Colts, Vikings or Saints) we'd probably have lost.

Happy MLK Jnr day to Juan , Lyndhurst 14 and any other US based Albion fans or fans of any club for that matter. What a marvellous idea having a long weekend only 2 weeks into the new year is. Marking the occasion by eating roast beef and yorkshire puddings with the family. What is everyone else upto?

And happy MLK day to you Billy – I agree it’s great getting a long weekend this early in the year and then there’s the next one to look forward to - President’s Day on February the 15th! Gotta say the Yanks have got it sussed.

Soooo.... I've got an email saying I've got Super Bash tickets, which is nice. Only thing is, the email starts with 'Dear Dalip', which is not my name. Anyone else received similar?

Who else is hoping for a Jets vs. Vikings Superbowl?

I did like the Saints until some drunken pleb put me off them at Wembley this year. How many time can you say "Who dat gonna beat da Saints?" or "Braaaaady" in the length of the second half?

Ouch, that really rubs it in. I'm north of the border, we DID NOT have a long weekend (not that it makes much difference in my job anyway).

Definitely - I backed the Jets when they were 40-1

i wouldn't worry about the name on it, as long as the postal address is correct it's fine.

did you go last year? was great fine, the indigo 02 is much better than previous venues. hoping to be there too if you fancied a beer.

Yeah have since got another email from them saying they screwed up the names on everyone's, but I do have tickets. It'll be my first one so I'm really looking forward to it, and definitely keen for a beer.

good stuff. the o2 is a great venue for this - i thought it was superb last year with the bars and stuff set up as it was. the only problem was the superbowl was on that night in february when we got all the snow and london transport ground to a complete halt, nfluk had coaches taking people back to central london which was handy but because there were no night buses away from the o2 everyone wanted on those coaches and it took forever to get away. not the fault of the organisers though.

should be a good night.

so, a colts v saints superbowl.

the jets started well last night but peyton is too wise and clever and once he'd worked their d out it was only ever going to be a colts win.

glad to see smarmy favre miss out on the superbowl, i stayed up to watch that and with the ot i am a bit bleary eyed now but was a good game.

for the sake of getting to see tom benson dancing on the sideline with his parasol again if they win, i'm going for a saints superbowl.

Should be a good game, I'm glad the Jets didn't make it as their style of play isn't the easiest on the eye - not taking anything away from them though because it is effective.

Club Wembley tickets for Broncos v Niners go on sale to those with pin codes on Thursday with other tickets on sale from Monday - general sale (i.e. those without codes) from 8th Feb.

Watched "The Express" last night. What a dreadful thing to happen to such a talented young man after he'd fought so hard against all the man-made hurdles that were put in front of him. And what an amazing amount of ground the American have covered in 50 years to go from that level of racial hatred to a Black president.

The details of the film have been disputed by those who came across as heavily prejudiced, but then again it would be wouldn't it.

Ernie Davis, RIP. What would have been eh? Davis alongside the great Jim Brown could have been the start of a tremendous Browns story.

Did anyone go for CW tickets today? I wanted the CW Premium sideline seats but the only premium ones on sale were right in the corner and not worth the high price they wanted. Will wait and try to get normal sideline seats on Monday instead.
