Great isn't it? Something worthwhile to watch on Sky (and to justify subscribing) now the cricket's finishing. Cleveland v Dallas tonight, really looking forward to it.

Indeed. Upgraded to Sports for it. The Browns, Cowboys matchup will be interesting. Cowboys got to be faves but the Browns could be dark horses this year.

Can someone confirm the rules for me, can only the registered Kicker take a field goal or extra point kick? Just hearing what happened in the Jets game surely someone else can kick an extra point, my mother could kick an extra point!

Got tickets for the Jets against the New England Patriots next Sunday at Giants Stadium. Great stadium, great atmosphere - but why does everyone have to show ID to get a pint of Bud Shite ? Oh for a pint of Harveys !

GO EAGLES

I spend a very drunken afternoon in a bar in Philli with a US marine Sargent and his wife discussing the merits of the Eagles and the Phillies ( the Baseball team) he was HUGE so I believed every word he said.

I am now therefore a Philadelphia Eagles fan!!!

Bleedin marvelous, I have not got sky on as present so may try and watch the games on the game pass. Got my ticket for the Chargers v Saints game at wembley, so would like to think Chargers can follow in the Giants footsteps and go all the way after a wet Wembley win.

Off My Trolley.
A good start for my/our Steelers.

Houston Texans 17

Pittsburgh Steelers 38

From the report on their site.

The Steelers scored on their first three possessions and never looked back as they defeated the Houston Texans 38-17 in the season-opener.

It was all Steelers from the get-go, as they dominated on offense and defense for a full 60 minutes.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed an impressive 13 of 14 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns for a passer rating of 147.0, before coming out of the game at the start of the fourth quarter. Hines Ward had six receptions for 76 yards and was on the receiving end of both of Roethlisberger’s touchdown passes.

Willie Parker was the mainstay for the ground game with 25 carries for 138 yards and the first three touchdown day of his career.
