You are not exactly giving a true picture as Grummett was 31 when he joined us having played over 400 games in the FL he then played 100+ for us before retiring so it was the tail end of his career. The same with Corrigan 35 years old having played over 400 league games also and he finished with us.. Kuszczak was 30 when he joined us having played 76 games for 3 teams in the FL but has since played more than that for us so definitely not at the end of his career.
It's impossible to do a fair comparison between the goalkeepers like of PG and TK because the game has changed so much for keepers, not just in the rules of the game but the specialist training and the amount of protection keepers get from referee's these days so it will always be debatable who is the better keeper.
