As someone who has never voted Tory in my life, I would go for May as the only one I would have confidence in to achieve anything sensible.
How Gove thinks he might unite the party and the country I really don't know. Most people I know think he is an odious, lying, devious arrogant little creep, and that was from before the referendum campaign and the events of the last few days.

Given that in her speech today she said no general election until 2020, it does give Labour 4 years to get rid of Corbyn which will improve their changes greatly.
I am a lifelong labour voter. Theresa May is ten times better than Jezza. I will be voting conservative in 2020 if Corbyn doesn't **** off out of it. This is not a considered opinion, it is my gut feeling as of weeks of madness and an evening of considerable annoyance, after several weeks of similar. As it is my opinion it clearly carries as much weight as one of those things Prof Cox goes on about that has a quantum identity but no mass. That's 'weight'. In present times, that probably means that it must be really important.

It wasn't though - there was a drift towards leave from 1.00 on referendum day, it steadied about 5,00 and then started drifting away from remain again. Leave was 10-1 in the morning, it was at 4-1 early evening (I then stopped tracking so I didn't see how it went from there)

As I get a vote I'm not entirely surely that's how I will feel when it gets down to the final two, but I would be reasonably happy if it was any of the Top 4, possibly not Crabb due to his (IMO) stupid views on religion.

Fox would be good on foreign policy but not PM material I don't think
May would be a lion whilst Leadsom did run Leave and could be fantastic

The early favourite rarely wins.
Although anti-Tory I have a track record of calling their leadership elections right (Major, Hague, IDS, the ham-faced holidaymaker)....so this time, although I think it should logically be May and she would get my vote right now, I will tip Leadsom. She has the wind in her sails and no real baggage...
It would be an amazing and positive result if the MPs put forward two female candidates to the membership. From that list they are the two stand-out candidates, admittedly largely because the blokes are either odious, untrustworthy gits (Gove, Fox) or just plain weird / alleged homophobes (Crabb), but you can only beat the opponents you have. So come on you Tory women, show us what you're made of.
