I frankly never thought I'd hear myself utter the phrase "I hope Theresa May wins." Then again, these are extraordinary times.

However, I think Gove will get in. It's the most frightening option, but I think it is what will happen.

Gove, who claimed he himself wasn't up to the job, stands against Johnson- because he is not up to the job.

One market stock in the UK that is rising. The laughing stock.

Interesting. A friend of mine just emailed to say he's joined the Conservative party to vote in this, for Theresa May. He's never voted Conservative in his life. I wonder how many other people are joining and doing what happened with Labour and Corbyn getting in.

Sadly it will be May. As a Tory I don't like her and would have preferred Boris but hey ho. Maggie 2 coming up.

Is it not just the MP's that vote in the Conservative party?

she is more self serving than Boris
Surely this would involve a violation of the laws of physics, to even be possible?

I thought the MP's whittle it down to 2, then it goes to the membership.

I think you are right, but I think you need to have been a member for a certain period of time before you can vote, ruling out newcomers to the party?

Yes. I have since heard it's 3 months or something. They learnt something from Labour then.

I think May is a shoe-in.

as for Gove. I think MPs have to have SOME integrity. He doesn't appear to have ANY.

I thought you couldn't vote for your first 3 months of membership so this election is current members only ???

Not that I know for sure, might be wrong.

I believe that is now the case. I just wondered how many other people had joined today thinking they could vote in it and do a 'Corbyn'.
