Just as long as he can handle work in a different time zone, this has a triumphant return to the BBC for Schof written all over it.
Baring his soul on the island has put him right back at the heart of the nation's bosom.

Or, if they want to go less predatory gay and more talented football show host, they could give it to James Richardson and make me a happy viewer.

He could do a segment where he sits outside a Greggs with a breakfast meal deal and a coffee, with the Daily Mail etc in front of him.

They'll have to pay Jimbo extra if they want him to read that rag

Alan 'Chatty Man' Carr
At least he has good family footballing credentials with his dad having a long career in the game as a player, scout, manager and currently a director of Northampton Town.

Perhaps Alan 'Chatty Man' Carr's dad would be a better shout.

It should be a double act.
Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse.
They could have a few features. Instead of goal of the month, how about miss of the month. The potential winner is narrowed down to two. A set of goal posts could be on set and the winner decided by which post Ted cocks his leg up.
Could make for hilarious TV.

Anybody but Alex Scott! Not that I hate her or think she's rubbish or anything, just that she's everywhere all over the BBC; one of the good things about Linaker doing MOTD was that was pretty much his only broadcasting job, and he wasn't on somewhere or other every other bloody day of the week!
.....and if it has to be a woman (and with the BBC's obsession with PC it's probably very likely) please not Leanne Sanderson! Nothing to do with her sex, or LGBT issues, but geez! - the sound of that voice! I'd have to watch with the sound off (and I'm one of the few (on here anyway) who admits to liking to listen to the punditry!)

Itll be a rolling presenter like Have I Got News For You.

that way they can try different ideas, blood in new presenters, have a comic one week, Pop star the next etc etc.

Imagine the scenes as Noel Gallagher is sarcastic to everyone, or Jack Dee is sarcastic to everyone or Jo Brand is.......

I found it quite remarkable that reading the article who comes next on the BBC Sport website,
five of the eleven fancied Lineker replacements for the role are wolmen.

I'm noy saying whether or not l think that's a good thing, but just pointing out how opinions hav e changed over recent years.

Well l hope the Beeb don't go that far, although l can see the format of the show changing. P;ersonally l don't see the neccesity of the new man /woman being a folotball person. The pundits can take care of that bit.
