Clearly I didn't mean it was the PM's fault that the rain caused flooding.

However, I tell you what Corbyn would have done - he'd have been right there on the coal face, empathising with those most affected and announcing a COBR and various (admittedly costly) measures to ensure those whose businesses and homes were most severely impacted received the support they needed.

What he probably wouldn't have done, is continue on his Caribbean holiday paid for by one of his Tory party donor chums. To be fair, this applies to pretty much every political leader except the useless we have in charge.

I'd like to hear more about Corbyn's Caribbean holiday paid for by a Tory donor. Was there more in his leadership of the Labour Party and manifesto pledges than has met the eye?

Whatever one thinks of Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, I don't think Lisa Nandy did herself any favours in the leadership contest, during this interview.

Thatcher closed a greater proportion of remaining working mines than any other Prime Minister.

At this point now we know that coal had to go, but the severity of the closures under Thatcher and the lack of provision for re-training and economic stimulus in the areas most effected just didn't happen. Thatcher inherited unemployment level at just under 1.5m. Within 2 years she had it above 3m and never got it below 2m while in office.

What a load of tosh. You would have been critical whatever he had done. If he was there on day of floods you would have said too early or wrong place. I am sure if Corbyn was in power now he would be hand delivering face masks and bog rolls to everyone.

I’m in Worthing, you could put a blue rosette on a dog turd and it would get voted in, The Brexit party withdrew their candidate so I spoiled my paper as I had no one to vote for. The situation in Brighton with Lucas is frustrating for true Brightonians, she will always get the student Woke vote.

Passionate about trade unionism, admiration for Farage, the most influential politician of the last 25 years, without Farage there would be no Brexit. I suppose I like a little bit of everything, except the terrorist sympathisers and anti semites that have taken over the Labour Party recently.
