Which likely means that keeping the 3% increase in defence spending by 2030 has been agreed with Rishi.

Wallace seems capable in that role, so it makes sense. His (reportedly) hard stance on keeping that 3% increase means the need for bigger cuts elsewhere though.

Much as I hate Gove he's too good to waste on the back benches, Rishi does not have an awful lot to choose from and he can cope with almost any shit that gets thrown at him... only just got in, is Health Minister still available ?

That's not the opinion of Guy Hands, a mega wealthy hedge fund owner and staunch Tory, who claimed that the way we've handled Brexit is the number one issue for the country and will lead to us being the "sick man" of Europe and going cap in hand to the IMF for the first time since the 70s.

While lockdown cost a lot in furlough it was priced into budgets properly and there was no massive recession or increase in interest rates. People simply spent on other things (pets, wine, Netflix, books). Many who ended up WFH saved a fortune on commuting costs (that they are now paying to run their home offices on increased energy costs).

I know you were a lockdown denier but things are FAR worse now, economically, and Brexit has left us in a position where it's almost impossible to recover.

How can you be a lockdown denier, can’t deny something that happened?

People didn’t spend on other things, savings went up, certainly what they spent it on didn’t touch the sides of what was being taken out APD lost in 2020 was 3 billion alone, not sure a few million Netflix will cover the short fall.

Furlough and the cost of the lockdown wasn’t costed properly, I think we are still awaiting a full cost breakdown and assessment.

What would you suggest he does, when he doesn’t have a wealth of talented women to choose from? He brought Braverman back in, which you disagree with.

I’m all for giving these Tories a kicking, but there is more than enough real things to criticise about their horrible disaster of a government, without having to make up pretend issues.

An utter disgrace. She didn't resign for policy reasons. She resigned because, by her own admission, she had acted improperly and wasn't fit for office. That doesn't matter to her anymore then? And it doesn't matter to Sunak? Not even through his first day and he's already shown that the entitlement, corruption and double standards will be continuing unabashed.
