Those voting for Boris are on a wind up, surely?
I didn't read the poll correctly.
Voted on who will be the next conservative leader.

If he gets on the ticket he will win.
He has the influence to make sure he gets in the last 2.
Tory membership will overwhelmingly vote for him

One definite positive of Johnson becoming PM again is that it massively increases the chances of an early GE. Even if he squirms out of the privileges committee there'll be more stuff to come, not to mention the possibility of red-wall conservative MPs crossing the floor.

Whoever can lose a GE fastest hopefully! The time for Labour is now, the Tories are electorally spent, the UK needs a change of direction.

In the short term why not Reece Mong, at least it would be funny!

People seem to think he'll unite them but he is widely despised even in his own party and there has to be a chance of MPs crossing the floor, but at the least it will only sow more division.

Its amazing how fast the Tory party can shift the narrative when it comes to their own survival. Since Truss's resignation speech there has been a whirlwind of talk about the best person to bring about uniting "The Party ", who is the best leader to coalese around for the good of "The Party " and who would be able to get on with delivering "The Party " mandate going forward.....some talk of Government too but nowhere or rarely, has there been any mention of the suffering of the general populace at this time.. its all about them and their survival at all costs.

They will happily muddle through for the next 2 years as our country falls apart under the austerity to come. The system is broken when a government can treat its citizens so shamelessly.

This is only magnified by the insane suggestion that Johnson return to office. Absolute and ridiculous stupidity... he has a track record of lies, corruption and selfishness and might well be thrown out of his seat by the parliamentary investigation in to his, you guessed it, lies to parliament ! To hear some of the swivel eyed idiots praising his record and even adding " Don't forget, he nearly died of Covid " like it is some endorsement of ability is pitiful.

I think the warring Tory factions are going to drag us down for another 2 years of chaos and carnage before they can be voted out for a lifetime. What a terrible time to be alive.

Larry the cat has delivered his verdict, based on who would provide the best cuddles on the No. 10 sofa on a cold winter's evening:

Sunak: too boney.
Boris: too sweaty.
Mordaunt: Just right.

The very idea that any of Johnson's cabal on the poll above would suddenly U-turn from everything they have been doing for the last 3 years in order to 'save the economy' (and also stumble across a huge portion of competence) is absolutely hilarious :lolol:

Almost as hilarious as some posters on here, after celebrating getting 5 years of what they voted for now becoming angry that they have another two years to go :dunce:

Shame it’s only given Truss 44 days to bugger up the decorations at number 10. Oh well, if Johnson gets back in he’ll be able to blow another fortune on it.
Seriously though, can those who want him back be serious? Hasn’t the country been dragged down deep enough already?

If I were here I'd be hard at work with wallpaper remover right now.
