We are boycotting News International at my place of work. In the past we have always had 'i' and the Sun. Tomorrow it will be 'i' and the Mirror.

Sadly , there is no answer.

But I hope that that something good can come out of this as, I believe, the NEW, was absolutely outrageous in it's "journalism".

Who in their right mind would buy such a shit paper with an IQ of more than 50 ? If people just boycotted it they might have to start thinking of putting some actual news in the paper. Some guy on R5 today went off the deep end about how immoral they were in their phone tapping but then when asked what he reads on a Sunday I'll give you one guess at to what he said.

No chance of that, I wouldn't say that those who write for the Scum, NoW and their ilk are sub human, but sometimes you have to wonder what sort of reader some of these knuckle draggers are aiming at, sit in the pub and look at who is reading what, and look at who is writing what, both readers and 'writers' are as bad as each other, blinkered morons catering to the basest instincts of the lowest of society.

But remember, the government has just given the owners of NoTW the green light to take over Sky.

And before anyone starts, Labour toadied to them too.

Brighton - In your face
Will we ever reach a stage where their scumbag actions lead to a proper internet campaign to boycott the filthy rag, and send them out of business?

It just seems that everyone gets shocked by what they do, are all horrified and aghast, right up until the moment they see next Sundays salacious headline, or see a tempting give-away bargain inside.

Yep. A vile rag along with the Sun. Now the Tories have got all cosy with them too.

So looking like they hacked one of the parents of the Soham school girls murder phones, might have hacked some of the bereaved from July 7th Attack. Paper is about as scummy as you can get.

There is going to be a debate in parliament at 1.30pm and a protest from 4pm lead by a few celebs.

There is a petition going around but i cant find it

Really? I hope that is in relation to the really unpleasant stuff, ie targeting victims of serious crime, rather than on behalf of the likes of Sienna Miller.

Clearly it was wrong that the NOTW hacked the likes of Miller, Wayne Rooney and so on, but let's be honest, most of us don't really give a toss about them, much less think they should be receiving millions of pounds in compensation. But the likes of the Dowlers and the Chapmans are the ones who have really been wronged, at a quite horrific time for them.

Outside Parliament - just over the road, in fact - demonstrators are to gather later to push for a public inquiry in to phone hacking. Figures including actor Hugh Grant and former Deputy PM Lord Prescott are launching the Hacked Off campaign on College Green from 1600 BST.

Both are on the list of those whose phones were supposedly hacked.

Alongside Leslie Ash, Kelly Hoppen and various other nonentities. It's incredible that the NOTW would do something so stupid and obviously illegal over people who are of so little relevance. Who on earth cares what these Z Listers are up to?

In all fairness, it was Hugh Grant (believe it or not) who blew the lid on Milly Dowler's phone being hacked after Paul McCullan told him about it.

I completely agree with the principle of your post though...

Many of the 2.6m that buy NOTW, I guess. 2.6m!!

Hmmm, granted, I have little interest in the likes of Heat magazine, but I suppose we're so regularly subjected to the intimate details of certain celebrities' lives- the Beckhams, Rooney & WAG, Cheryl Cole and so on, that it's inevitable their faces will sell papers. I just can't see why the less famous types would warrant this intrusion or level of reporting. I really can't imagine who would give a flying fook what Leslie Ash has been doing with her weekends.

Perhaps I should read more tabloids

Anyone else catch the shit on Daybreak this morning. Paper review at 7.10am, they started by saying "what has been the reaction from the papers been to teh phone hacking story?"

1. Cordelia, or whatever her name is, had The Sun, and found their mention of it on page 7.
2. Dr Girlsname, also had The Sun, and spoke about their main front page story.
3. Kate, then finished the paper review with ... The Sun!

FFS, the story is how appalled the nation is with that bloody rag, and their Sunday version, then they review that paper exclusively, no other paper got a mention. No wonder viewers are leaving that show in droves. I left this morning as well. Twats.

NOTW are really showing themselves in beautiful light at the moment. As for the police, apparently, receiving money from Coulson... I find that the most shocking revelation. The police accepting bribes from a paper to cover up the fact the paper is interfering with a missing persons report (word bribe not used in the report, but if they can go for sensationalism then so can I).

Can it stoop any lower? Hopefully OFCOM rip them to shreds and they fold.
