Knowing how the football gods work we will both win this weekend and be drawn against each other in the 5th Round, draw that match up there and play them in the cup on the 28th.
From a Newcastle forum...
"OK, so this is a bit anal, but hay ho, it was fun doing it.
Below is a table of our and Brighton's remaining fixtures, with on the very left and right a column showing the current table position (Leeds / Huddersfield are wrong way around.)
It's interesting to note that in the remaining 19 games we currently have to play the whole of the top 14 ! teams.
The bottom number is the total for that column, as you can see, Brighton are '40' higher than us, meaning they will be playing more of the lower teams, esp. the last 8 games.

p.s. the post above the one about remaining fixtures in the same thread was this quite nice comment...
"Knockaert is quality, wish we had someone like him in our team. They have a few cracking players at this level Brighton, Lewis Dunk and that Dale Stephens for example. Think they'll do us down there. Would be nice to win the league but I'd take second place in a heart beat. The end of February will make or break our promotion push, 3 massive away fixtures."
