Knowing how the football gods work we will both win this weekend and be drawn against each other in the 5th Round, draw that match up there and play them in the cup on the 28th.

Tough set of fixtures, but that's why we bought a load of players. The squad is comfortable with rotation and the lads should be back from AFCON. Hopefully we'll have added a couple of players in the window too. The big test will definitely be you, Hughton deserves so much credit for the unit he's turned you into and definitely deserves another tilt at the Premier League after being royally screwed by Ashley and Co.

"OK, so this is a bit anal, but hay ho, it was fun doing it.

Below is a table of our and Brighton's remaining fixtures, with on the very left and right a column showing the current table position (Leeds / Huddersfield are wrong way around.)
It's interesting to note that in the remaining 19 games we currently have to play the whole of the top 14 ! teams.

The bottom number is the total for that column, as you can see, Brighton are '40' higher than us, meaning they will be playing more of the lower teams, esp. the last 8 games.

p.s. the post above the one about remaining fixtures in the same thread was this quite nice comment...

"Knockaert is quality, wish we had someone like him in our team. They have a few cracking players at this level Brighton, Lewis Dunk and that Dale Stephens for example. Think they'll do us down there. Would be nice to win the league but I'd take second place in a heart beat. The end of February will make or break our promotion push, 3 massive away fixtures."

Clearly needs to get out more, because he could simply have summed 3-24, and eliminated the four games played in second round of matches! The fact that they have played Blackburn and Rotherham twice explains most of the 40 point difference.
