I been reading that a couple of Championship clubs are also looking at taking a punt on Fleetwood.

although this only a rumour how can people come on here and slate players already. This is getting stupid, how many of you have actually seen either of these two play.

:bigwave:

I saw Eastleigh play Thurrock a couple of weeks ago, as it was free to get in and on my way home. Bloody freezing it was too. And the floodlights failed in the 70th minute.

Oh, and Forbes was awful in that game. Although nobody covered themselves in glory, Forbes missed 2 very easy one-on-ones, one of which he actually failed to get it on target.

Like others have said, if, at 29, he's not made the transition to league football, he's never going to.

Are you not allowed to judge, then either slate or praise a player, based on the level of football they had been/are playing at and the stats they have from their playing career. ???

We CAN do better than Forbes. And he would not even want to join, as it would COST HIM money, so it a bit of a non-discussion tbh.

Fleetwood is worth somebody gambling £250,000 on, as there is an evens chance of turning a profit in a year or two. Unfortunately we don't have the funds to indulge in gambling, and would be better advised to sign another experienced pro in the Forster mould to anchor the midfield.

Forbes is the one we were interested in when Jason Dodd was here during MMs reign. I thought that he turned us down. I would think that he is older than the usual non league signings probably mid 20s. I would be happier if you had said it was a Div 2 striker with prospects rather than another non league player. Will somebody please remind our back room staff that we are in the Football League not the Rymans League,

At the moment.Give Mr Wilkins time, for heavens sake.

saw Fleetwood against Kidderminster on New Year and he had a poor game but he has scored 29 goals so far this season so would be a punt of anyone's money but he is going to be priced out of our reach so forget it.

Sounds like Forbes has more sense than to burn his bridges for a couple of potential glory years in the lower reaches of the leagues.

So if the rumours are true and Elder is about to be loaned out it looks like Gatting and Hart are the available back-up for Forster and Revell? Not good IMHO

What the f***, is it just me or has most of this thread dissappeared?
I was about to point out that bars mar's references to uncle s and yorkie pretty much prove that it's a wind up.

:tosser:All references to or comments from a certain well known chocolate bar appear to have been deleted - a wind up then surely:tosser:
