Ah, that answers my query then - I'm a fellow S3 user in the East. Where's the equality!?!? Disgraceful scenes!

It is a bit of shocker isn't it. The girl (there's literally only one!) in the row in front of me has an S3 too. It would have been a wonderful talking point! But nooooo, they don't care about little old us. I swear revenge.

I've had to switch it off the last two games as it has sucked all my JUICE.

... but it's nice to have the option! I tried getting the scores up midway through the second half and got less than NOTHING.

Signal was awful yesterday, used to be great on Network 3 but the last 2 games ive had barely anything, though people have probably been looking at results in other places.

We'll see at the Palace game.

Yep battery usage is a real issue. I assume it's because the phone is constantly acting as a WiFi node it is communicating all the time and in doing so drains the battery.

Still it has improved significantly. Yesterday was a great time to put it through its paces as more people than usual would have been checking scores elsewhere.

The Android vs iPhone debate has been done on here before, and I doubt either side will ever agree. But here's the way I see it:

1) Cost - pound for pound you get a LOT more with Android because of the competition. I can get an Android phone that's a good as an iPhone for a fraction of the price, or one with much better specs for the same price.
2) Apps - There are more apps available for Android than iPhone, as had been demonstrated here. The main reason is that Android is open source meaning it's much easier to make apps for it, it also has functionality (again as demonstrated here) which iPhones don't have.
3) Once you have one Apple product you pretty much have to have ALL Apple products if you want there to be any chance of sensible communication between them, whereas my Android will talk to virtually any non-Apple device, including my laptop, with ease. Exchanging files between my Android and laptop is no harder than using a memory stick.

I realise there are advantages to Apple stuff, especially if you have a lot of it, a friend of mine has a Mac, iPhone and iPad all connected to his wireless and as soon as he updates a file on any one of them it automatically updates on all of them. Very nice, but I have no intention of paying for a Mac when this laptop does everything I need.

Android is also a lot more flexible, different manufacturers can do what they want with it. For example, living in Cyprus but being British, I have two seperate SIM cards, a UK Vodaphone one and a Cypriot MTN one, my next phone will be a dual SIM phone meaning I only have to carry one phone with both cards in it. Useful for travelling generally, you can have a local PAYG card in it, but still be able to receive calls on your normal number. The iPhone doesn't do that because all iPhones are pretty much the same, whereas with Android phones there is a HUGE variety.

I know this is absolutely top of everyone's agenda right now, but anyone know if this was a success, is it being expanded to all areas of the ground?

Just after more details that's all.

When they did the survey and asked for possible uses, my suggestion of a 'Guscam' with views of and from the bench was obviously a real winner.

It worked ok for me at the last game but not before. I've just looked at it now and it's still giving me live travel information and the fixtures for next season have been added. I think it shows promise.

How many did you guess?

Can't remember exactly - 240 odd?

I've come to the conclusion that one of my main talents in life is being able to guess how many things are in another thing. It's the third time I've won such a competition; (coins in a large whiskey bottle, balls in the boot of a hyundai, sweets in a jar).

I went for 405. A massive over expectation. Much like the Palace game.

Oddly enough I've come to the same conclusion about myself. And similarly I've managed to pull this off three times now. There must be a name for people like us
