All the evidence is that it makes sod all difference. The number one KPI for success in any division is the amount of player's wages. See www.squawka.com/news/value-index-part-1/12877 for one example of research.

To do well against these odds, you have to a) find player(s) who suddenly find form; b) get lucky with a youngster or an unknown; c) get momentum from good results; d) avoid injuries and suspension. Burnley spring to mind.

TB is paying poker with FFP, effectively saying a manager in the new regime has to make the best of what he has. If TB is right, then there could be several clubs locked out of transfer market in January - worse, may have to unload. Suddenly there is a glut of players and wages come down and we are in good place. If he is wrong, then will have a job attracting anyone of quality to manage BHA. It is a gamble.

Has anyone noticed that the teams that got promoted have British managers QPR and Derby County have British managers and Wigan and Brighton both had foreign managers. It seems that the new manager must be British. .

He might be ex-Palace but he's done 'wonders with the Wanderers' - Western Sydney Wanderers that is.
The club were only formed 2 years ago.
In their inaugural season they won the League but got beaten in the A-League Grand Final - were also beaten finalists this year.
Currently, he's got the Wanderers into the last 16 of the Asian Champion League - a 1st for any Australian team.
Knows The Championship well - played almost 100 games in it as well as a season in the Premier League.
I'm sure Tony Bloom would be well aware of his abilities and possibly on his radar from his frequent trips here to Australia.
