Ive been thinking is there really any good keepers that we can buy within our budgets at the club, Only one i can think of is Stehpen Henderson from Pompy, Currently on loan at West ham, or Jamie Ashdown, Your thoughts ??

Fair enough... but neither of our keepers have excelled this season, and surely one of these is worth a go on a free transfer?

Kuszach is the man. Unfortunately, we would never be able to afford his wages.

Argentina - O. Ustari - Profile with news, career statistics and history - Soccerway

I presume Ustari did something wrong or got injured to go a whole season without a single game for Getafe. I saw him play for Independiente when he was a kid. Aguero was in the same side and I'm surprised that they haven't both set the football world alight. At least El Kun rose to the top and it was fantastic to see him get the vital goal for Citeh at the weekend.

So, an Argentine goalkeeper, 25 years old? Any chance???

I'm hoping that we get a new keeper in who we can be CONFIDENT is better at Champ level, no point buying another keeper who might be just as good as Brez or Casp, IMO.

I know, I know, all about availability etc.

How much is he after?

To be fair we don't know - my post probably should have presented itself as a fact.

Nevertheless, I imagine he must be used to getting paid a few bob at Man United.

Yeah good point, but I'm fairly confident they're better than our keepers, but that's just my own opinion of course

Regardless of what he's used to, he's currently on diddly squat when his contract is up, so he may well have the sense to realise he needs regular football somewhere now, rather than holding out for a contract anywhere near the one he was on.

I think fringe squad members at big clubs know their money drops off dramatically when they move on.

Kuzchak would be a ideal signing, but his wages would be a stumbling block. I would love to go for Tom Heaton, very commanding and solid goalkeeper. Quite surprised that Bardiff let him go to be honest.

They offered him a new contract, but he rejected it.

Stephen Henderson isn't REALLY just 'on loan' at West Ham, though, is he? They paid a 'loan fee', as it was outside of te transfer window, but he is basically their player.

Much like when we 'loaned' Gary Dicker from Stockport.
