How on earth do you know how Caicedo made his decision. The truth is you have no idea so dont be so arrogant. I suspect it was all about living in London near friends, family etc. He is after all very young and Liverpool is culturally hugely different from London. Wish the guy luck and see what happens

I pointed out that that statement shows so much wrong with chelsea but they just said I was ignorant about expected performance at better sides. I pointed out we are substantially better than Chelsea at the moment and they laughed at me.

If he was making his decision for footballing / career development reasons there is zero doubt that Liverpool was the right choice. With Chelsea offering more money and a ludicrous 9 year contract, plus his agents getting a £10m commission, it’s pretty obvious what his motivation was for choosing Chelsea. They are an utterly chaotic club with a bloated squad, many of whom we will never hear of again. Sadly,this may well include Caicedo himself. He’s had a poor start and his confidence is probably shot. But hey, he will keep getting paid whatever his huge wage is, week in, week out for the next 9 years.

We don't know anything for sure but for rumours that were circulating at the time. However, for Roberto to say "I've forgotten Moises already" in a presser suggests that the rumours were probably correct that he cleared his locker out and refused to train before his move which didn't go down too well with Roberto.

Agreed. Against the narrative on here, I think Poch did a really good job both at Southampton and Spurs. At Spurs he had to suffer virtually no incomings for several windows while all around rivals were spending big. I think he was an idiot to go to PSG because that was a vanity project for the petrogarchs who wanted 'galacticos'. Poch's problem is that Boehly has instigated another vanity project. It might turn out to be genius in five years time and everyone will be dishing out 8 year deals to 20yos but somehow it seems highly unlikely.

I think I heard/read something in an interview somewhere that teams in Italy were wary of buying players from sassuolo when RDZ was in charged because he is so precise in drilling players in to his way of playing that they struggled in other teams even though they look world beaters playing for Sassuolo.

Like I said I heard/read it somewhere. So obviously Manuel Locatelli was a success at Juventus after playing for RDZ at Sassuolo. So was it just made-up nonsense on the internet? Sorry if it is and I am guilty of spreading the nonsense on this forum. I try not to do that.

He was the pivot/regista of RDZ's Sassuolo and was known to be very intelligent and technical in his passing and press evasion in that team, with great vision. But when we got him (just as Allegri was re-hired) he didn't have that precise structure in place anymore, the opposite in fact; and when left to his own devices he's just a (somehow) green, hard-working donkey. He's a lovely person and he's been useful last year as a defensive midfielder because of his good team mentality, but he doesn't offer much in terms of passing or creating for the team. And he often plays below-average games, like the latest one.
