Supermarkets also sell high volumes of food, but McD's seem to sell their cooked burgers for less than the raw meat in the supermarket. This does make me question the quality of said meat. And then when I taste it, I seem to have my answer.
How many times do you taste it Trig, you make it sound awful so assuming your last visit was decades ago?

I imagine McDonalds carry nothing like the fixed overheads that the supermarkets do plus their business model is way simpler and their margins are probably significantly higher, especially on fries and drinks.

I didn't mind it when I was young, although I did prefer BK. But there are a few occasions when I've had it more recently. For example, our FA cup semi against City, when I was getting out of town with the kids and we all needed something to eat when we happened across a McD drive in. Since then there's been at least one occasion where I've gone along with the demands of the kids (daughter likes their nuggets). I had a 1/4 pounder with cheese and I just couldn't believe how bad it tasted

I do agree very bland food however like many i’m sure i only go in for the breakfast offerings as my title suggests, burger wise in with you BK, Grubbs or the Holy Trinity itself ’All Star Burger large fries’ ( for those who don’t know that’s Uncle Sam’s’

Oh yeah, I've always liked a sausage and egg McMuff, but I just have breakfast at home, so I don't get to eat them.

I've not had anything from McDonald's in about 20 years as I'm of the opinion that there are better foods to spend my money on. However, I did have a Burger King cheeseburger last year and, my God, it was bad. The mind boggles that they stay in business

Hope you’re doing well

Good to hear you are moving on in life but the Wedding Zinger saga will always be right up there as some of the finest 22 carat gold content ever to grace the pages of NSC.
