All this fuss over well a road!! We've all got eyes! I think this is a great plus. Never liked the crapped and almost shoddy look of the current shop anyway! Well done me thinks!

P.S Just noticed this has made the insider!!! Waist of his time if ever Ive seen it!! Infact people moaning saying this is a lost oppertunity for selling things is wrong.

''Relocation sale now on at exsisting store with hundreds of bargains available. ''

Looks to me like there selling or at least trying to sell things to me!

to the other side of Queens Road? the less busy side, the side that people don't use walking to/from the station/churchill square! another Ken Brownism?

Hmmm, seems the right side for Boots and Bottoms Up!

Its got more floor space, more display space and more storage space. And is more accessible. I think its the one that used to be the YHA shop.

Compared to the cramped position that the present has been in one for the past ten years, it will be a godsend.

Has anyone thought that they want to get moved in and sorted out before making a big anounchment about it? People who go there regularly will know that it is moving, people who just happen to make a trip will either see the sign in the window or see the new bigger shop the other side of the road. Once it is up and running they have insured the the IT etc is working, trained up any new staff then they can make a big announchment. Maybe even do discount voucher in the program.

Lets see what they do before we hang them for not doing nothing.

I'd have thought TLO of all people would be able to see that moving a shop to a side of the road that nobody walks down is a fairly silly mistake, suggesting the clubs finances have got pretty bad if they need to move.

because the BHA club shop relies on passing trade?

of course it bloody doesn't.

Some could argue that by being on the other side of the road it is more visible to the people walking down the western pavement of Queens road, and to those coming from the clocktower.

That is a fair point because where the club is at the moment it's very easy to walk past it without even noticing the place.

TLA says "Yup"

BUT will there be two permanent club shops? One at the new Falmer ground and one on the "wrong" side of Queens Road? Or will they persiste with mobile caravan sales/office at the ground?

One would like to think that the club would act on the no-brainer of keeping the Club Shop in the city centre once Falmer has opened, to coincide with the permanent shop at Falmer, especially after spending thousands (for that is what it costs) to get the new shop up and running.

The shop is moving over the road FFS, from the current RUBBISH premises.

What's to WHINE about?

The move is basically to bigger, better, more suitable premises - which are also more economical. So it's win-win for the club. There will be plenty or PR once the move happens... at the moment, we haven't got a definate move-in date, but it's likely to be May.

No worries.

And while we're at it folks, top flight football in England is called 'Premier League', not 'Premiership'. The name changed in 2007.

You have not been charged for this information.

I should hope not! I thought they changed it to the Premiership in 2001, and back to the Premier League in 2007...

:nono:
