Hi NSC.

It's time again for me to advertise my talents on here!

You may recall 6 months ago I went self employed to concentrate on web design. Well it's going OK - but always looking for new projects.

Here are a couple of my latest efforts

www.stealthmediagroup.com
www.mariakouka.co.uk
www.cricketbatexpert.com

Already done a few for NSC folk. Prices from around £199.

PM me if you have a questions.

Warren

Genuine question, are you in anyway concerned about the ongoing Apple V Adobe war that Apple don't seem to want to budge on?

I can see flash dying a slow death in the next 12 - 18 months.

Were you responsible for proofing the text?

Quite a few basic grammar/spelling errors on the cricket bat site - could easily put a pedant like me off.

Bat facts page:
"There is be no definitive length"
"from the side ore over oiling"
"Using a hard wood mallet very lightly o begin with"

Just curious, given the URL that the Cricket Bat site routes through to - do you build all the sites 'by hand' as it were or are they all Moonfruit sites?

Warren was kind enough to produce my website for me and I just want to say that he was superb from start to finish, did everything I wanted and made the site exactly as required. Five star review from me. Here is my site:

Well it won't be long for this world I don't think, just depends how long HTML5 takes to become the norm.

Best of British to you sir. Know first hand how competitive that market is.

HTML5 isnt going to be finalized till 2020 though is it? Flash is here to stay for now.

How much did those sites cost roughly? I'd like to know in comparison to the £199 starting price.

Stealth Media - complicated with lots of uploading etc - £975
Maria Kouka - simple with just a bit of design and ecommerce bits added - £300

Here is a £199 site. www.arkwell-services.co.uk .. nice and simple with no added extras.

Thanks Matt.

Matt also has a Content Management System that allows him to edit his own site... something else I can add.

I use Sitemaker which can be purchased through Moonfruit although that is very much with using their templates in mind. I dont use any templates to design my sites. Sitemaker means I can create sites nice and quickly and keep prices to a minimum and create 'hopefully' decent looking sites.

You are not the first to confront me with Moonfruit!!!

Jeez looks like you're doing quite well for yourself. I was getting peanuts working as a freelance designer/programmer a couple of years ago, though I was getting most of my work through the internet which is certainly not the way to go. 2 days of solid work would get me a mere £100-£200. Would never go back to it, such is my hatred for it.

So are all the sites hosted on Moonfruit?
I always think domains look "dodgy" when they are a sub-domain of somewhere else.
Are you not able to set them up using independent hosting? Or is part of using Sitemaker, having to have sm4.biz in the domain name?
