I can't believe he stormed off after the 3rd substitution.

As I've said before, he's fantastic as a support striker. Ask him to lead the line alone and he'll struggle, give him someone with the movement of Welbeck to work with and he'll shine.

Absolutely tremendous shithousery towards the West Ham fans after he was booked, reminding them of the score and suggesting that they think about calming down a bit. :lolol:

Credit to Potter for having the balls to hook Biss at h/t and fire up Maupay for 2nd half. Neal back to his best today.

A great 45, Welbeck loved the support.

If he could perfect his final pass, he’d have an all round game.

Loved his mid game winding-up of Rice etc, Maupay could start an argument in a telephone box.

We’ve gone from a team of Corinthian Spirit softies, to having Maupay and Veltman, with Dunk forever in the ref’s ear. A must in a league of gamesmanship cheats.

Yes indeed.

But incredible from Maupay today, changed the game when he came on. Some absolutely lovely touches / play from him.

Seemed quite subdued with his family but guess that’s him as a person and glad he got a good sing song

My favourite moment today. Neal was really up for it when he came on and his energy seemed to spark the dynamism of the whole team in the second half. His shh gestures and 2-1 signalling at the raging Stammers was worth the ticket price alone. Le petit merde de maison at his absolute best.

How soon is now?
Credit to Potter, we seemed a long way off Welbeck in the first half, Maupay made an instant difference.
Missed Trossard down the left in the first half and we looked very lop sided with March and Gross both occupying the space in front of Veltman, with no support or supply for Cucurella. Bringing on Maupay allowed Welbeck to drift out to the left, balancing things

I was delighted for him - I do hope nice Mr Aspinall loved him td as much as the rest of us! I look forward to watching the full match replay on Sky tm. Great that Neal had a positive impact in the final match - yes he had some misses this season but several vital late goals for us - that one at Selhurst being particularly valuable td

So now the season has come to an end, even though he's not a 20 goals a season striker, has missed some sitters but has scored some amazing goals can we agree that he is a valuable asset to the team? And doesn't deserve to be expelled?

Neal was vital to our season this year and I expect he will be again next. We certainly can’t afford to let him go, his goals and all round play have been pivotal in many games.
