I can’t believe he’s missed that many sitters. If he had 15 goals he’d be the 2nd highest scorer and have the best minutes per goal (106) in the league.
He’s some how put it over the bar twice when it’s been easier to score, two chances at the Amex when it was a how did he miss that moment. That’s four more goals right there.

What does he actually do?

He scores a very good number of goals. And is still improving.

He is one of the best pressing forwards in the division, causing the opposition defenders, keeper and sometimes deeper midfielders plenty of issues that we often exploit.

He's totally authentic, which is to be admired in anybody, esp a footballer.

He is Le Petit Shithouse and does an amazing job of winding up and distraction oppo defenders (and supporters). Other clubs fans don't get upset like that unless they see you as a threat.

He sets up more chances than others give him credit for (which we'd appreciate of our midfield ever covered them). For examine the lovely dummy to tee up Moder.

He gives great interview.

I'll take that little list all day long and for as long as we can keep him here.

Yeah, but apart from that……..:D

He’s incredibly fit as well…..never stops running (good example yesterday late in the game, he chased back and made a tackle well back in our half)

People are talking about Maupay's goal tally, and rightly so. He's coming good. But why? What's happened this season?

The answer I believe, is Lamptey and Cucurella. They both fully occupy the opposition full backs. Sometimes the opposition are obliged to double up on them. This stretches the opposition back line, leaving space for Maupay and others making runs.

Maupay's goal yesterday was sublime. But when he received the cross from Lamptey, he had more time than he realised, as no Watford defender was near him.

This is another benefit of Lamptey. Not only does he provide assists, but he also stretches the opposition.

When we have the ball, how many times have you seen Lamptey and Cucurella hugging the touchline? Potter uses the whole pitch.

I'm a bit sad for Neal actually. Twice this season he has referenced 'being the worst player on the pitch last week' and thats football etc etc - always felt he plays a bit like he has the world on his shoulders. And he definitely wasn't the worst player on the pitch at Spurs - you don't concede 3 goals and your striker is the worst player

When he's recently mentioned things likes this I think his point has been that he trys not to let it effect him. Last season you could see that he really took the criticism to heart but he's talked about having a different mentality this year and accepting that occasional bad performances are just part of football. Sounds like he's being more relaxed about the ups and downs of it all.

Yeah this!

GP's man-management at work here.

It’s so obvious he can’t play as a one up front, Potter picked the wrong team first half at Spurs it happens.

He only seems to score worldies or when he doesn't have anytime to think about the shot! Simple chances where he has time to think seem to go begging! Allowing Gross to take the penalty recently is an example of his mindset. I'd settle for a worldie tomorrow night! It's a mindset Once it starts putting away the ones he should score, he could be fairly prolific!

Is that a combination of NM and GP? I haven’t listened to AL yet but he seems one of the good guys.

Anyway Neal is deffo one of the good guys!

Only Brighton fans that think that.

He is pretty much universally despised by the other premier league fans (Brentford excepted)
Only makes me love him more tbh.

I wondered if the 'worst player' remark was more a nod to the 'Your never as bad as everyone claims and never as good as everyone claims' type thing. He's always struck me as being quite a bright lad

Had an absolute stinker today again. Nothing changed from the international break. The guy really needs a long rest on the bench to mentally reset. He looked broken at times

Can someone please help me with this?

25 attempts on goal, 77% possession and our leading striker has offered up absolutely NOTHING.

Doesn’t find space for chance creation, can’t hold the ball up, first touch lately has been on a par with CMS and he wins nothing in the air.

What does he actually do?

Laughs at the punters ?

Regards
DF
