You do understand it's his job to be right? Right? It's like me paying my plumber to nearly fix the bath.

Shocking analogy. It's his job to report the goings-on at the Albion as accurately as possible, and sometimes convey his opinion. He reported what appeared to be happening with those transfers at the time, but things subsequently changed.

Your stance on the matter is clear, which is different to mine, but that's fine.

I was told a little over a week ago that the club were quite pleased that none of their main targets had been mentioned anywhere.

They have not been mentioned anywhere because the clubs main targets are in Conference and Ryman leagues.

No doubt a bit more spin from the club.

They're hardly going to go "shit, everyone knows about the kid who went to Forest from Derby (Jamie Ward), or the Iranian winger who we bid £1.4 million for, showed around the ground and who still turned us down".

Better to tell NSC's finest at blurting things out to MAKE people think the transfer activity is going well, don't you think?

Can we attempt to get most of our signings completed before the season starts which will give the new players ( if any are signed ) a chance to bond and practise the way CH wants them to play before the competitive season is upon us

Don't be silly!

Sorry but I don't get this Argus - Naylor and Owen bashing. I look online at the Argus first thing each morning and pay about 11 quid to have the Argus delivered to home each month and it is worth every penny. For a start, I don't have to look through 15 threads to find a grain of truth.

The Argus is part of the Albion and vice versa and we should support them both. I hope that BZ is coming home and am really excited about who else is coming too, this will be the year. But don't start whinging the year after if we become relegation fodder because that will undoubtedly follow, the first time.

Wouldn't mind Hooper. Him + Zamora / Baldock would make for a good front pairing, especially if the club brings in a couple of wide players who know how to cross.

A front pairing? Has Hughton changed his tactical beliefs then?
