A front pairing? Has Hughton changed his tactical beliefs then?

He wasn't adverse to using 4-4-2 at Newcastle, Birmingham and Norwich. Hopefully if he can bring his own players in, we'll see him go with a front pairing a few times next season.

Fingers crossed, a so-called front 3 has usually meant a front 1, with pedestrian support, I as a defender would have loved playing against our so-called attack last season

I got the feeling he was to scared to change formation whilst in a relegation battle when we could battle out points playing the same system we had all season he is known for playing 442 with 2 wingers

This bit gives us some hope

Norwich manager Chris Hughton, who first tried to sign Hooper in January, has now signed seven players this summer.

"There's been a lot of speculation going back to January and I'm pleased to have finally put pen to paper and joined Norwich," Hooper told Norwich's official website.

"I knew Chris Hughton and Colin Calderwood from my youth days at Spurs, so it will be great to be back working with them.

Tomorrows edition would have been printed by 10pm tonight - If it hasn't leaked by now, I cant see it being anything worth reading, or with any substance for that matter

Lets hope not. We can do so much better than 2 up top boring-get-forward football. We should be patient and play it out from the back and then hit the opposition when there is a gap or a mistake.

Really ? Not sure if that's sarcastic, we play so bloody patiently the opposition has 11 men behind the ball by the time we get into their half of the pitch:yawn:

and pay about 11 quid to have the Argus delivered to home each month and it is worth every penny.

Have you thought about subscribing to the digital edition? I pay about $46 a year (less than 30 quid) - sounds like it would save you a pretty penny.

Shiver me frickin' timbers, I stayed up all night checking on here every 24 seconds for updates and it turns out it's not even a striker, it's a bleedin' winger in Sammy Ameobi! #bad times Where's Das Reich when you need him?

Complete non story. He may as well have printed a story saying we are interested in Lionel Messi. We've got no ******* chance. The article goes to say 2 Premier League clubs are also interested.

I would think that AN has the wrong brother and it is Shola Ameobi released by Palace who we are after.
I very much doubt he has the wrong one when he is harping on about a loan deal.

You have to be joking, right?

A professional journalist with links inside the club and his reputation at stake on every headline, 'has the wrong brother', jeeez.

It's almost as if you're saying Mr Naylor catagorises players as 'they all look the same to me'.

I would think that as Chief Sports Reporter Andy Naylor has said Sammy Ameobi in print, he means Sammy Ameobi.

Can't see us getting him .

I like AN but not much meat on the bones with this story . On our radar isn't particularly a scoop of any sort . Seriously can we not find out more than that ?

Would like him as a winger but think we would be down the pecking order unless paying bigger wages
