High up on the South Downs.
Navarro is shit but so is Crofts and, to a lesser extent Dicker.

Overall:
Navarro 3/10
Crofts 4/10
Dicker 5/10

Quite simply, none will do anything utterly embarrassing but none are near enough for where we want to go. Get rid.

I thought you were banned, mate.
Crofts and Dicker are two higher surely. But lets face it, you made such a complete canute of yourself with your comments about Dean Hammond which showed that you were the Barry Lloyd of NSC..

Well I don't know exactly who we can sign right now, but I'd say the TYPE of players we want are an experienced player much like Douglas of Swindon. That sort of signing would have been good for us, rather than the fat scouser and a league 2 reject we got. I'm not obssessed, like some are, about having someone who can score goals from the middle of midfield, but what we do need is someone who can create and supply a forward pass. Someone younger, like a central version of Elliott, alongside the experienced player would be good. And out wide our options are a f***ing disgrace. Cox, McLeod or whoever else can play there all need to do one. And we need someone with a bit of skill as we've just got nothing to unlock anyone. Elliott is obviously good, but he's all about pace rather than trickery. A Paul Brooker type signing - which shouldn't be hard to find - is required to balance with Elliott's running on the other side.

Or the short answer is I don't really care who we sign as long as I don't have to watch the footballing paralympics in our midfield that I have been for the last 2 years.

Fair enough. I personally think if we can sign a decent left sided midfielder- say Monkhouse from Hartlepool, along with an experienced centre back such as Greegan (not him exactly, but in that mould) we'll do a lot better. Will be interesting to see who turns out to be correct.

As for those midfielders, Hammond is the best of the bunch but even he isn't good enough.

Isn't good enough for what? Who on earth do you think we are? We're a mediocre League One team. Hammond is easily good enough for a mediocre League One team.

We're not Man United, incase you're confused.

I made a point of watching Navarro to see if I was missing anything. I wasn't.

He doesn't get in support of the front players
He didn't defend the back 4 other than watch players sail past him
He misses tackles and resorts to tackling a player rugby style because he is so slow
The only thing he did do was give away free kicks in decent areas for the opposition which almost resulted in a goal (which Brezo actually ducked when it hit the bar)

He offers NOTHING.

Meanwhile, Dicker and Forster were different class on Sat. I'd go as far to say that Dicker is the best midfielder we have had here since Sidwell.

Oi! shut it MacKenzie. It was a piss-poor comeback from a wannabe 'man' who got precisely what he deserved. What team are you on? I mean, I very much enjoy reading about the exploits of you & your chums as you travel the highways & byways of our Septic Isle - but I can go off people, ya know. So who you gonna choose here? A sodding halfwit who thinks - amongst every other bit of crap that he inflicts upon NSC - that Alan Navarro is an answer (& not yet another problem): or a football-going THOROUGHBRED who actually goes to Albion games ;watches what happens on the park; & has a friggin' clue about who's shite & who isn't??

The time for moaning, ignorant bastards is well & truely OVER. It's hard-ball or nought, as far as I'm concerned.

Merry f***ing Christmas.
Whoa there!!! Sometimes when people are rude to one another its funny, and what he said made me laugh. I've nothing against either of you, I've never met or spoken to you as far as I'm aware.
As to which team am I on.....I don't tend to do that, I'd rather be a lion than a sheep!

Merry Christmas TT:love:

Sorry Mr M - I was attempting to be humorous (& made a right royal f***-up quite honestly) after having a few festive sherries too many (plus a cheeky Tequilla or 6). My humble apologies to you - & yes, Withdean Wanderer (gulp). May your Yuletide pickles be both crispy & plentiful; & may we all be rejoicing 2 more juicey Albion victories come 5pm on the 28th - & back-to-back hatricks from Alan 'The Hitman' Navarro. :clap2:

Depends on if you look at it as where we are now or where we want to be. Currently we're a shit league one team - not even mediocre like you say. And for that Hammond is good enough, of course. But he's definitely not good enough for where we want to go.

Bullshit is Hammond not good enough for a team aspiring to get out of this division.

For a start Southampton, who have as high/higher aspirations than us (I think I read the other day how they wanted to get back to the premierleague in three or four years) have instilled him as team captain.
