Yes you do - go to your disability services. I get 25% extra time as i have fingers missing & associated problems.

I missed a deadline last week too. They might be able to bail me out. Do you get the option of a writer or the use of special equipment for the exam? I managed to get an adapted PC, which is really helpful.

Don't know if they'll bail you out for missing a deadline - mine only applies in exams. I got offered writers etc - but i much prefer writing it myself.

That's alright, go for extra time, its so helpful! I'd never have a writer, as it'd be so annoying for me, having to spell out everything, do punctuation etc

With GCSEs, the breaks are unlimited and as & when the candidate requires...I'm not sure what they are for any other exams. It could mean a 2 hour exam taking 5 hours, and I do know of schools where that has happened (but thankfully not mine!)

I burned my wrist on the oven shelf about an hour ago. I immediately ran it under cold water. Unfortunately, our cold tap runs hot to begin with, and I ended up almost scalding myself.

It's a nasty red mark that looks like it might blister up, and it really hurts.

I have an exam tomorrow, am I likely to be in pain tomorrow morning? Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially from any medical types out there. Owww.

I have a type of arthritis in my wrists, fingers etc that makes writing in exams painful and difficult. Does that mean I might be entitled to some kind of special allowance? I have to write slower than the average person too.
