Yea my balance seems fine, my dad suffers from that Ménière's disease, he can't even step foot in my new home coz the house is a bit off kilter!

Had my ear microsuctioned about 20 years ago to help get rid of a nasty infection. It felt like my head was stuck to the ground whilst the rest of my body was spinning really quickly and then my whole body was lifting up still spinning at about 100 miles an hour. Very weird...

Yes get this sometimes as well. Usually get it worse after a night out on the pub when I sweat a bit more in bed. If it gets too bad I put some of those Otex ear drops in, seems to shift most of the wax after a couple of days.

Haha, great. I was thinking about having that done coz I'm not up for ear syringing whatsoever. But now you've made microsuctioning sound even worse!!

I have been using Otex for a couple of days (twice a day) and that doesn't seem to be budging it although it did help a little bit when I had the same problem a couple of months ago.

Sometimes it takes a bit longer - I also scoop stuff out my ears after having a shower when it goes a bit more runny. Apparently you are not supposed to stick things in your ears but it works for me.

I had my ears syringed about five years ago after getting bad dizziness and it was a very pleasant-if noisy experience! They put a pipe into your ear and it sucks all the wax out into a big bucket. You wouldn't believe how much yellow gung comes out BUT you have to make sure ear drops have been put in for at least a fortnight before your appointment.

It's certainly worth having done.Best of luck with it.

I had my ears syringed about 18 years ago. It was actually an excellent experience. If you get it done, be sure to ask to see what they got out - you will be amazed!

Will second that - a mate of mine said exactly the same thing. Said he felt a new man after having it done.

Cheers for the heads up fellas, my lug hole is getting worse by the day! Calling the docs tomorrow I think, time to get this crap outta my ears! I'm gettin tired of using the word/s 'pardon' or 'excuse me' every 10 mins or so.

If its wax the docs I go to have a nifty device that squirts jets of warm water into your ear and washes the wax out. They will tell you need to drop oil in for about 5 days first to soften the wax though, so you might want to start now. Doesn't hurt a bit, loads of gunk comes out and you get to hear the wife (so there are some unfortunate side effects)

I have to get this done and you will need to put in drops to soften the wax before or they won't do it. Not painful but actually quite soothing

I'm a complete wuss when it comes to water and ears, does anyone know if you can actually chose syringe/microsuction coz I think I would rather the latter....I have also heard that some docs don't like doing it because of the high risk of a perforated ear drum.

I've had my ear syringed in the past. It's a very nice experience.

This ear syringing malarchy. Is it free? Is it a once off? Can only get it on doctors say so?
I have quite bad hearing, and often use ear drops to remove build up of wax.
Don't have any dizziness or anything. Just wax filled ears.

I've been thinking of having my ears looked into.

Everything sounds a but muffled, especially if I'm surrounded by a lot of distracting noises.

I've been putting it off because I sometimes sit next to Beach Hut at home games.
