What is wrong with people. On the up side Murray is a good proven Division 1 striker. On the down side, he is sulky, goes missing in games, only puts it in the the last year of a contract, not a good team player, total unproven at this level and sold himself up the road for a few more pieces of silver. Yet some people on here would see him coming back as the return of some long lost hero..Cms was a far better striker than Murray in div 1. If Murray is the answer, then i'm not sure I want to know the question...Apart from all that Poyet obviously didn't value his services very highly 12 months ago and I doubt Murray has done anything since to change his mind. I would be total amazed if Poyet even gave a thought to bringing Murray back, let alone actually done it.

Article in the Telegraph states Stoke are likely to miss out on Michael Owen due to Cardiff showing an interest. Very interesting and they look a real threat, Kim, Bellamy and possibly Owen. The Telegraph rarely put stuff for it to be untrue. Just thought it was worth a mention after all the Rumours, even more so his comments about Championship football.

I would take him back in a shot if offered. He's not crap just because he only scored 6 goals last season. Even Palace fans saying he wasn't used properly, no service, negative tactics etc. I really do think in our team with the way we play etc, he would flourish with CMS up top, that partnership could get over 30 goals a season between them I reckon, not to mention the support from the wings with Lua Lua and Buckley and Vicente behind supplying the ammunition.

this but you have missed out BARNES
I really did not like what he done to this club but but I am feeling in a forgiving mood and he does fit the bill and knows just how we play.

and he can head a ball!!!

Barnes isn't quality Championship striker? Aye carumba.

I would say the jury is out on that one, wouldn't you?...11 Goals last season, a few of them pens does not make you a quality championship striker. Barnes is very much work in progress. A good pre season does not mean you are the business. Let's see what the season brings, Barnes may well turn out to be player of the year but at this current moment in time I want to see proven quality come in the the club up front. As i'm sure Poyet does and that is not Glenn Murray.

So, his attributes can't translate to the Championship? I just don't agree. In the right team, he'll be brilliant. That team is ours.

Come home, Glenn.

He is exactly what we need and have needed since we lost him. It's hard to score goals when playing for Palace... he didn't have the same quality around him.

You got three quality division 1 strikers there in that side. I think the management are aiming a little higher than you.

It always thrills me when you disagree with me. I think almost everything you say is uninteresting rubbish. You criticise pretty much everything the club do and quite frankly, I think I don't know of any of redeeming qualities you posess.

He has been the best hold-up player we have had for 10-odd yrs would stop the ball pinging straight back as he is excellent at bringing others into play. Would be a good addition.

I don't get some of you lot. Arse kissing Glenn Murray

When he left to join our "friends" up the road everyone was up In arms. BUT Now the prospect of him coming back and some of the same very people are kissing his arse. Making him out to be the prodigal son or some kinda messiah. That's what I don't get. Enlighten me on what makes him so special. Rather have Bobby or Elliot back not some no good miserable half wit who Isn't fully In the game. Have you forgot who he signed for. CHOSE Crystal Palace OVER us. Theres my rant over. I know a few people who will wanna jump in and have a pop. To be honest. Go for It. Spice up a boring sunday :hilton:

Tbh there was always a split on NSC about Glenn Murray. This has continued and doesn't seem to matter whether he's playing for us or not.

He's quality and for me was the main reason we got promoted.

Only interested in what he can do for the team, CMS would be a much better player alongside Murray. I'm sure I'd get over the fact that he played for the scum, What I'd love if he did come back would be to see him wildly celebrate scoring a goal against them.

You have to see the bigger picture. We are so nearly a completed Jigsaw but appear to lack just the final piece. Look beyond Glenn Murray and look at the attributes he has as a player and how he would fit into our nearly complete team. You dont have to even have an opinion on him as a person to do this.

The over the top arse licking probably merely comes from people being so desperate to get "the attributes" as we are so so so near to something very very special
