Some people never turned on him. There are certain people who thought Murray was majestic and magnificent in our team and never wanted him to leave. He did, but he remains a player who was genuinely brilliant for us when we got him fit and played to his strengths. He is a much better player than people give him credit for being, because his value is as much in defending set pieces as it is in leading our line with intelligence, style and effortless class.

Mellotron would agree with my observations, presumably.

It always thrills me when you disagree with me. I think almost everything you say is uninteresting rubbish. You criticise pretty much everything the club do and quite frankly, I think I don't know of any of redeeming qualities you posess.

Thanks, at least im not a kiss arse, to a judas. Murray had one good season in div 1 and you think he is the answer to all our prays. Unbelievable.

I would say the jury is out on that one, wouldn't you?...11 Goals last season, a few of them pens does not make you a quality championship striker. Barnes is very much work in progress. A good pre season does not mean you are the business. Let's see what the season brings, Barnes may well turn out to be player of the year but at this current moment in time I want to see proven quality come in the the club up front. As i'm sure Poyet does and that is not Glenn Murray.

No, some of the jury are still out, some have made their minds up. I'm not basing it on pre-season, I'm basing it on last season where I saw a championship striker up front, on the wavelength of Vicente, and someone who is invaluable. Anyway, opinions eh?

If kissing Glenn Murray's rump will get him back to the club, I will pucker up with pride and no sense of a loss of dignity. He would make our almost incredible team complete and would, DEFFINITELY, unlock CMS' golden finishing. Personally, I want our team to be as good as it can be and Murray's return would be the final piece in the jigsaw. He is the player we need.

I'm sure you won't agree, and I thank you for it.

Because he gave us 1 of the best seasons for many years. Because he is better than any of our current strikers. Because he can defend as well as score goals. Because he is a class act.

I am assuming that all the people who want Murray back must also believe Poyet made a mistake in letting him go?...I wonder why the club offered him a crappy deal which left him no alternative than to seek employment elsewhere....Either Murray is quality or Poyet hasn't got a clue, you can't have it both ways. Personally I think Poyet got it right and he would know the man better than anyone on here.

In the current situation, do you have proof that the club offered him a crappy deal?

You right I don't agree and i'm sure Poyet doesn't either, we will see...But I am glad I thrill you so much, give me a nice warm feeling inside.

I love Glenn Murray. Great striker and gave me possibly my greatest season watching BHA.
The fact that he moved to another club for whatever reason is his own business and at the end of the day, looking out for his best interests.
The fact he moved to Crystal Palace? I couldn't give two shits whether it was Torquay, Worthing, AC Milan or Palace, does that really matter anymore?!
I'm all up for this 'rivalry' bit with Palace but it's really beginning to tire. There was a small rift between our managers many years ago then they both left their clubs. Now there's plenty of people keen on keeping this 'rift' alive, fair enough for a bit of friendly banter but to turn down one of our best strikers of the decade because he's been at this other club?

He's simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH for where we are now and where we want to be. Hope he's consigned to albion history and doesn't come back.

I think Poyet did make a huge mistake, letting him go for nothing then signing CMS for 3million. Hardly good business is it. I will be the first to admit that i dont rate CMS, but i do think that he and Murray could be good for each other.

He CHOSE a better deal for him, the fact that CP offered that deal is irrelevant. It's a short career, you have to make the most of it. Disappointing he went there, yes, unerstandable, also yes.

Funny how people see things differently, towards the end of the season Barnes looked to me like a man who was confidence was shot. He would rather pass than shoot and if he was so much on Vicente's wavelength then how come we dropped like a stone the last dozen games of the season. How many points was it from our last dozen game,,,6 was it???..Relegation form I think you will find and a sever lack of goals...We are crying out for a proven striker and Poyet knows it.
