The Fatherland
Beck, Morrissey, Weller, Dandy Warhols, James Dean Bradfield, Girls Aloud!!, Fatboy Slim, Phoenix, Regina Spektor, My Morning Jacket (did they cancel though??), Art Brut and a very young Paolo Nutini.

The weather was pretty good as I remember. Around that time V was still very corparate but the booking was much much better.

The girlfirend went the year before in '05 and saw Sonic Youth!

was Fatboy playing in the Hellmans Mayonnaise dance tent? Or was this bizarre sponsorship another year?

That's the year. Great line up, enjoyed Beck and Phoenix as well. Oh, and Imogen Heap.

The only bad part was walking in to Daniel Powter on the mainstage singing "You've had a bad day!" - Most inappropriate soundtrack to that moment.

Won tickets for the IoW last year (or was it the year before) but flogged them.

Also been to the HBMF a few times (Hastings beer & music festival)

Plumpton Jazz & Blues Festivals in 1969 & 70.
Bath Blues and Progressive Music Festival 1970 at Shepton Mallet.
Glastonbury Fayre 1971 at Pilton complete with The Worthy Farm Windfu**ers.
The very, very wet Great Western Express Festival at Bardney in May 1972.
Went to Guildfest a few years back as my wife was performing, saw a decent(ish) set from UB40.
God I feel old reading this list, what have I been doing since 1972?

The Port of Noddy Holder
Every Monsters of Rock
Most Downloads (not going this weekend as a weak line up and Sonisphere looks much better )
All The Sonispheres so far including the upcoming one .
All the Ozzfests .
Reading 78-91 and then the odd one dayer , usually Sunday if there is a good metal /rock bill.
The Phoenix Festival. I think there were only ever 2.
Holidays in The Sun (not been to a rebellion yet)
F**k Reading (used to leave the Reading Festival and go back again for this tasty set of one dayers )
The odd Milton Keynes Bowl . Not so much now. Did go to the first ever gig there entitled Regatta Da Bowl. No prizes for guessing the headliners.
A few Hyde Parks as well . The Who was a good one . Will be going this year for Black Sabbath even though it ocupies the first day of Sonisphere .

Might also try Altfest this year . A new festival in the Midlands which seems to span all forms of music . Metal , dance , Indie , Goth. ..Nain headliners are The Cult and Marilyn Manson
