pros - covered a f*** load of ground, worked hard, almost set up a goal for Bennett/Crofts, went close with header, was unlucky that nobody was in the box to bury that one he dummied

cons - he was getting fouled all over the place, but was he looking for the decision? He def shouldn't have ducked out of that challenge, and he could have done better with that toe poke.

just wondered what you all think. I know NSC usually either reckons he's amazing or shithouse, just curious as to what people reckon today.

Cheating diving twat epitomised when he jumped up and pirouetted in the most spectacular fashion under the most innocuous of challenges - will ensure we dont get the penalties we DESERVE because of the above!!

Interesting to read a number of the comments on her pertaining to Murrays performance. Ive been a regular away this season so will only comment based on what ive seen of him away from the withdean. With that in mind i thought he had a poor game today in comparison to what ive seen so far. It wasnt due to a lack of effort that was clear to see i just think the two wide men Lua Lua and Bennett wernt at the races today and that affected Murrays game. That said the defence was solid and against a fourth placed Colchester it was a good result.

That was how I saw it too. Crofts appeared to be the only player to regularly get up alongside Murray, which meant Murray had to hold onto the ball far longer than he would have liked. When the wide players did get involved we looked very dangerous

Muzza may have dived but there's no way he bottled it. Was playing one up against a Boothroyd team sent out to physically intimidate every Brighton player.

If as some previous poster said Brighton were "one pass" too many Arsenal lookalikes, Col U were a very poor imitation of a "just physical, no what you're going to get" Stoke side of yesteryear.

Just thank f*** we have Gus and Maurice in our dugout rather than that dinosaur Boothroyd. Shit his team were bloody horrible.

When Glenn Murray went down i thought it was a nailed-on penalty at first glance but replays showed him clearly diving. There's no place for that in football and he should be ashamed of himself for trying to con the ref. Pathetic.

He went down like a sack of shit all game, if he'd not been such a girl for the first 70 minutes he might have got that penalty decision.

My biggest concern with him is that he is not quite clinical enough with his finishing. Don't get me wrong, his goal scoring record is decent overall, but he misses too many good chances, which is why his goals will not be enough to get us up next year. With Holroyd still something of an unknown quantity and Forster possibly elsewhere, I suspect a prolific goal scorer will be on GPs shopping list in the summer.

He is an enigma. Leaving aside the missed scoring chances last night I cannot fault his willingness to play up front on his own and take a lot of stick. Also always willing to run back and help in defence where he made at least one great clearance. But his propensity for falling down; kicking away the ball and although last night he was much better, being caught offside makes you wonder whether he will fulfil his potential to be other than a lower league player.

I don't disagree about the diving, or at least looking to make the most out of every contact, but I expect he sees it differently. He was kicked all round the park all game - I suspect he was (rather crudely) just trying to get some reward for all the fouling. Sadly, he over did it and could easily have been booked (and then sent off) for the dive in the second half.

If he practised his finishing as much as his diving and picking up needless bookings he'd be a much better player, not impressed with last night at all, a big let down on recent performances when he's played very well, get back to that please and cut out the silly crap Mr Murray.

Smashed all over the place by their centre backs, should have had a penalty in the first half without a doubt. Maybe should have done better with the chances but all in all played well considering they had two beasts marking (and fouling) him

Missed two easy chances, header early doors and one from 6 yards out from Bennetts free kick.
He did seem to spend a lot of time on the deck, but he kept going back for more, its not like he didnt challenge for anything after being smashed for the first time by their players.
It must be hard playing upfront alone, but he does it well. We looked better when Holroyd came on to join him.

Next season, Murray and a prolific striker upfront, with Holroyd and A.N Other as back up will be a good strike force, if we can get that who knows? I honestly think its time for Dickinson, Forster, Hart and Davies to move on

Hart was 14/1 at Corals to score first last night.

Possibly the worst value bet I have EVER seen.

they were not easy chances, personally like the formation and think Murray plays very well at the top of it
