That is not usual as they want the man to train with them for set pieces etc especially as he would be integral to them both attacking and defending, as with us when he plays.

Really? What makes you think he or Forest would want that. More likely that he'd play Saturday, come home for Sunday and Monday and then back in Nottingham from Tuesday. That said, I doubt very much he is interested in this. He's had a good playing career, probably not desperate to play, blossoming media career. Can't really see the club forcing it through either.

Hasnt it been said on here that GM is on £45k a week. If so why should he want to go to Forest for less even on loan why not see the season out on our bench and pocket another 750k doing so.

I'm guessing this Surrey FA you used to be a part of was the Surrey Ferrets Association? Because how loans work is something I thought everyone knew.

It doesn't work like that.

Glenn would stay on 45K a week paid by Albion. Forest would make Albion a monthly payment ( as well as an overall loan fee ) which may or may not cover the 45K per week.

Looks like he might be off, I really don't get it, he can still score goals at this level (with the right service), and that just leaves us an injury to Maupay away from relying on a promising teenager to keep us in the PL.

What's not to get? Glenn wants to play more and Potter is respecting that by letting him move. No one will be kept against their will under Potter.

As for Maupay he is never ever injured, not much of a risk.

My interpretation is that Murray will go out on Loan to Forest but we will retain a recall clause to cover an injury to Maupay or Connolly. Win win then as Glen is more likely to be match fit if we do need his services.

If we have no replacement lined up then going into the second half of the season with only two strikers one of who has been in and out of the team with groin issues would be ridiculous.

Squad depth, cover and PL survival is more important than anyone’s individual needs. I can only assume the only reason Potter appears so relaxed about it is we have an alternative lined up

I would have thought it suggests that he is at a higher risk of injuring his knee compared to someone who hasn't significantly injured their knee before?
