If their style is to get wide and put in decent crosses he could be very tempted.
If he is finishing he will want to do so with some success and he is not going to get much chance of that with us.

people seem to forget that after difficulty settling in down south, Murray spent his career staying here. it would seem odd to go to the midlands or beyond for one final deal.

It may well make sense for Celtic, but would it make sense for Glenn? I wouldn't have thought so. Why move from one club as a back up striker to another the best part of 500 miles away?

Unless there's a high chance that Celtic could loose one of their main strikers? Odsonne Édouard looks a real talent, and is being watched by numerous scouts. TBH he'd be ideal for us.

As pointed out by many on here they wouldnt pay it all they would pay a % which we would make up if he went on loan.
If this is to be his last season playing I don't see the distance being a problem.

I’d be surprised if I’m honest.
We aren’t pushing him out the door, we aren’t looking to reduce our wage bill, we are happy for him to stay and be involved in the squad.
Why would we want to pay a % of his wages for him to play elsewhere.

If I were Murray I'd be off to Celtic like a shot. If they had any sense hed be training just enough to keep fit ,possibly with us if they send him home for a couple of days between games. I'd love to see him finish hi career with a couple of meaningful medals in his pocket. Plus hed get the chance to play in European competition in front of big passionate crowds.
Or maybe go to Reading and play in a lifeless stadium in front of a load of carrot crunching , straw chewing mutes.

I’m sure we are happy for him to move if it’s what he wants, but I’d imagine it comes with taking on all his wages as we will need to bring someone else in.
Because that's what normally happens when you loan out a player. Hasn't it been reported somewhere that Glenn can go on loan if he wants to (presumably depending on Potter feeling he has enough cover)?

Your right in regard to players that the parent club are keen for them to get out and get games.
For example I’d imagine several of our younger players that are on loan I would expect we are picking up a % of the wages for clubs that are unable to afford the wages of players we want to be getting game time.
However for examples like Glenn and Knocky we would probably be expecting the loaning club to be picking up 100% of the wages. Why would we be helping Celtic for example, if they want him and we aren’t actively looking to move him on why would we be paying any of his wages.
