Disagree. Most footballers aren't that bright. Most never mentally left school. They've been told what to do, where to go, what to wear since the year dot. Many respond positively to the equivalent of a Drill Sergeant. Others of course don't.
Oh sure there's going to be a perfect storm where it all clicks, after all footballers are simple folk!

I think a seriously underperforming team like Watford has clearly benefited from some 'home truths' shouted at them.
You can certainly see it in Deeney, who in turn probably carries that through the team now with even more heft.
I just think as a message delivery service a psychotic approach is more fax/phone than email.

Although too your point, I started watching the Aaron Hernadez thing last night.

He took to prison, like a duck to water, due to the regime and only having a 7 by 10 cell to worry about.

What I would say is that while we are definitely looking more of a threat this season, our deliveries into the box needs to improve greatly. I am particularly thinking of Trossard when I say this who flatters to deceive a lot of the time. Looks good on the ball but his final ball is often poor. For Muzza to get the goals we all know he’s capable of he needs balls whipped in at pace not airy fairy aimless balls that Trossard has a tendency to do.

Muzza has a massive part to play for us the rest of this season, not just for his goal threat - I think Maupay could really benefit from his presence and feeding off & running in behind him.

Yep, LT has been a massive enigma this season. Seems to give us his best play when he's brought off the bench. If gross' all round play hadnt been so poor this season, he's be the obvious answer as he's got comfortably the best delivery outside the top 6/Leicester. Would like to see how Lamptey may affect things, as Montoya is a good passer and ball carrier but us AWFUL defensively and AWFUL at crossing. I seriously hope we see a Maupay Murray duo Vs Watford as I think that could be something genuinely special.

We played to Murray’s strengths, long ball to him to hold up or lay off but unlike last year there was support around him as soon as he got the ball. Bodes well for us as it’s another GP game plan to throw into the mix. Last year he was mostly completely isolated
Said at start of the season that he should still be able to play a big part if we can get some more mobility round him who do a lot of work to get ball to him. He is still a great finisher and his his hold up play is better than a lot of 'top players.
