West is BEST
Perhaps a compromise and keep one main thread, say Truss or whatever on the big board and all the other ones in a pit somewhere?
Anyone tries to turn other threads political? Damn their eyes and into the pit with their wretched carcasses!!!

I don't see why this is even a question. It is important in a functioning democracy to promote political discourse and debate, so YES politcal threads MUST remain on the main board and not marginalised.

Falmer, soon...
I've said don't mind either way because in my view your proposal is too binary, divisive and not something I can vote with good conscience for or against.
Realistically putting all political debate in the bear pit feels intuitively wrong. My preferred type of 'Politexit' is to move it to an alternate part of the forum.

Personally I very rarely open the political content, and as such I’m quite happy... let those minded to, wile away their remaining hours arguing hither and thither, awash upon an endless sea of mediocre ‘insight’ and tepid soap box posturing... solving nothing, but raising the blood pressure of some very average societal make weights... doubtless those rushed to hospital still death gripping their laptops, will die safe in the knowledge that they got one over on some other weirdo on this provincial message board. Bugger the strain on the NHS, it’s sodding worth it to get a thumbs up or two just before the stroke hits... for their epitaph shell read, hewn into the slab above their decaying heads “here lies Fred, remembered by all as a frothing left wing maniac with some seriously shit hot political views on nsc... gone and entirely forgotten.”

I guess I’m saying, let the babies have their bottles and clog this football club message board with the endless copy about political swinging (left to right annnnnnd back again... as that’s worked soooooo well for generations...) and made Britain truly great.

God bless ‘em all.

I can’t see why the constant handbags makes anyone in the slightest bit fulfilled or happy? Why on earth bother? Sigh...

Carry on :)

Numerous pro Brexit/right wing members have been purged from NSC over the past year after numerous complaints, thus creating a lovely echo chamber/safespace for mainly progressive Guardian reading types.

What's not to like? :lolol:

Seriously though, if Bozza is pissed off with the number of political threads parroting the same old views cluttering up the main board then a politics sub forum seems the most sensible option.

Well done for agreeing with Steve Foster, in a very similar style. You guys must go to the pub together or something,

Don’t really care. When a thread goes political (much of the political shite infiltrates initially non-political threads) it’s easy enough to ignore them 🤷‍♂️

you are correct, a fair few racists have been banned. i can see why you would want all political threads hidden away at the moment, as you've still not told us why you voted for trussterfuk

If you don’t want to post on a political thread, don’t post on it. If you aren’t interested in politics don’t open it.
People that derail any threads politics or not should be given warnings as required
