Oxford away in the 90's was the best battle I had. Done It 2 miles from the ground at about 3.30, nobody went to the game and we were seriously outnumbered but like to think we got the better.

Not there myself as flying paving slabs is not my thing???[/QUOTE]TURNING CARS OVER MORE YOUR THING REV

Went there in 2000, the OB not the brightest as they blocked off 2 side streets next to the away end to keep the Chesterfield fans away from us, but their mob appeared from another street directly behind the away end.
They didn't stay around long

they were waiting at the station when we turned up , just walked straight through them and into town:facepalm: by the time they got their act together we had got nicely settled in a pub , the main group got rounded up and marched too the ground while we enjoyed the local Hospitality

We were never angels as the rev and Ernest will testify. We were playing at derby I think it was in the late 70's and we stopped at the first motorway stop, toddington and a van load of Watford fans turned up..not aggro, but just normal fans and about 50 thugs charged the van and tried to turn it over...all I remember was the wheels screeching as it sped off with the back doors open!

We had some real head cases following us those days...Northampton before the days of sixsmith stadium was really nasty, but as they charged across the ground most of the fans legged it out the ground.

Funny how things come back...canvey island was like watching apocalypse now...they were all to a man homicidal maniacs and a lot of brighton fans got a kicking that day. To this day I have never been there since...like Luton!

Northampton wasn't that a cup game?

Wow some old memories here. Worst for me,
Everton away, first season in the old First Division, that was scary outside Goodison. 'Got the time mate? and all that bollocks.'
Leeds away, as mentioned previously, when Robinson nearly got us all killed with his goal celebration. I am sure Moseley did us a favour and let them have the winner. God knows we were shouting at him to let them have the game.
Of course Millwall 78. right next to the barrier, pints of urine coming over the fence, dripping with it at the end. Young kid aged about 7 had a scalding hot cup of coffee in the face from the pensioner in front of him.
Cops: Worst! Nottingham, always a nasty lot just goading for a fight. Best! Staffs, good, well planned policing. Marched from pub to chip shop to get some balast before the game, and a ride back to the station after in the wagon to make our train.

1. Izmir with England by a long long way. 2. Birmingham away, the game Karren Brady tried to ban us from and 3. The Millwall playoff second leg.

Dorchester v Weymouth fixture can be a bit lively. Went a few years back at The Avenue Stadium on boxing day when visiting the olds and there was almost 3,000 in there, then a large brawl in the club house after. Was the most fun i've had going to the football for a long time but these days I usually only get to see FC Tokyo

In recent times, the Burnley / Blackburn away contingent are bused in as one, in a convoy surrounded by Police on all sides, for midday kick offs.

Not a single away fan is allowed to travel by any other means.

Yes, put a load of fans off from both sides. Accy wise, my mate said there used to be the odd scuffle in the home end between the 'Accy Blues' and the resident home fans. Bit weird?

I think he prefers Preston/Bolton away as it's still close, but not a bubble match.

Us:lolol: They had come to Aldershot earlier that season and played up . The 92/93 was Aldershot Town's first in The Ryman and we won the League at a canter ,taking loads to away always brought the local loons out and quite a bit of bother .

Yes I think we concluded - nutters of London clubs (definitely Spurs!), few Luton and locals too. Leighton had an FA Vase run about 5/6 years ago and they had a police escort in and out of Andover I think it was too.

Recently all the non league aggro seems to be confined to Leicestershire and Warwickshire and those dark little towns in it!

Ha ha - love all those rivalries down near us. Now its Poole - Weymouth - 'El Jurassico'. Although Weymouth hate Yeovil the most- 'The Green slime' as they are known LOL!
