In my day job I make custom fit golf clubs, back in the 90's we supported a children's charity and made clubs for a host of celebrities. They came to our HQ here in Sussex to be fitted and would love to watch their clubs being made by moi....

Some of the names that spring to mind are:
Ronnie Corbett

And many many more who's names escape me at the moment....

Can I have a 'Who are you?' moment.
I've had many famous people in the shop over the years. My Mum had Sarah Ferguson in prior to the Toe Sucking incident but after the separation with Andrew. She came in with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, both only babies at the time around 1992. John Bryan was stood outside.
My Dad had Elton John in the shop. He asked why all the people outside and Elton replied "I think they're for me". Even after I don't think my Dad knew who he was.
I had Terry Griffiths come in when there was a snooker tournament on at the Centre. He was carrying a cue and stood in the doorway as a very young, long haired, spotty kid purchased a bottle of water. I said 'hello' to Terry whilst serving the kid. The kid was world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan and Terry was his manager.
And finally, JLS (yep, all of them). Came into my shop with 100's of screaming kids outside and heavy security.
Now as if not knowing who they were was bad enough, I don't watch X Factor, I totally ignored Alexandra Burke, the winner, who was in the shop buying very rude items. JLS left and I chatted with her about all the screaming kids. She must have thought me really dumb! It was only when she left another customer said 'you know who that was?' Nope.
Oh, nearly forgot. They were really great blokes.

Brian James guitarist and original member of The Damned, he wrote New Rose and most of their early songs.
Worked in his house several times, spent more time talking about music than doing any work.

Dick Knight, made me a mug of tea when I worked in his house.
Alan Mullery gave me a lift in his car from The Goldstone to Waterhall to watch the Albion training.

I used to fit internal water meters and once did Penelope Keith’s house in Goldalming. She had a key ring hanging up with ‘Penny’ on it.
Had a selfie with Ronaldo at hotel in Praia del Rey, Portugal.
Met Dereck Dougan as a nipper.
Pissed off Alan Davies at Stansted airport, by playing an Air raid siren ring tone constantly, while waiting for a flight out to Germany to watch England.

I wonder if Alan Davies hates the Albion just now?

Not strictly spoken with but I walked past Chris Eubank on Hove seafront earlier today. He was having a very animated, slightly bizarre conversation with another bloke. Something about having fire in his heart. I didn't feel like interrupting to ask for a selfie.

You just reminded me that I also met the bard of Salford (at an Atilla gig - I suppose JB sort of counts, too)
And Tony Benn (although it was hard to get past this gaggle of female devotees; this was at a reception in parliament)

I met Phil Daniels last year in Arcade clothes shop in Eastbourne, he’s friends with the shop owner and often comes down to Eastbourne.
I think the shop posts on social media now when he’s visiting but when I met him it wasn’t advertised and there was me and one other customer in there.

Probably Jimmy Page.

He was friendly. Met him outside HMV Oxford Street - he had gone there to buy a whole load of Led Zep CDs for a charity thing he was doing - "much quicker than trying to get some from the label!"

Stayed for a decent length chat - we asked if he'd sign something for my cousin who was a huuuuge fan at the time. He said "Sure, I'll sign something but I'm not signing THAT" gesturing to the paperback copy of Hammer of the Gods that I had clutched in my grubby mitts at the time. There were some stories in there that he said were complete fabrications and quite annoyed him.

Overall, seemed nice.

Sean Dyche - Good for a chat, prior to those spicy games with Burnley at the top of the Champ, might've been a different conversation otherwise!
Dave Grohl - surprisingly thin, bristling with energy
Josh Homme - exactly as charming and funny as you might hope
Chris Wolstenholme (Muse bassist) - absolutely lovely, no rock star attitude whatsoever. Completely regular bloke who was more than happy to chat football (big Rotherham fan) for ages, to the point where I felt bad that I was keeping him so long!
Paul Banks (Interpol singer) - smooth, charming
Fontaines DC - dicks, shame as I quite like the music
Foals - great fun, funny

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
As per my post above I met him in the away end at Middlesbrough (not that game!). He’s was friendly.
Same game, I had travelled up on the Supporter’s coach, was sitting with Liz and the late Sarah, when Norman came over, said hello and kissed us all on the cheek. They were neighbours in the north stand at Withdean so he knew them well, but was happy to include me in their conversation.
