Fantastic again tonight

Mrs Bobkin and I saw this for the first time on Friday night – absolutely loved it.

I'd heard lots about it and I'm a big fan of both of them, but together they are properly entertaining!

Fantastic again tonight

I know nothing about fishing.
I have never been fishing.
I have no intention of ever going fishing.

But half an hour spent in the gentle and genuine company of these two going fishing is one of the most pleasant and engaging 30 minutes of the week. Compelling TV doesn't always need an army or writers, production crews, special effects and plot twists. Just two genuinely warm people with a natural chemistry who enjoy each other's company and a shared passion can be enough.

Proper laugh out loud funny and the best half an hour's telly all week. Their friendship, the way Whitehouse shouts at him like a cross Dad, the stunning scenery, Bob inevitably falling over, how excited he gets when he's caught something, the reappearance of Ted mooching about...

I love the show and I love both Bob and Paul but I notice each week that Bob is just an out and out clown whereas everything is funny or stupid, he finds it impossible to be serious most of the funny stuff is started by Bob then Paul carries it on.Paul, at times can be quite uptight and a bit grumpy.
Not a moan just an observation but Bob Mortimer is a 100% brilliant idiot.

Always worth checking out his appearances on Would I Lie To You. Some fantastic stories - Damon Hill's lucky scotch egg, home dentistry and Chris Rea's eggs are three that come to mind

Genuine, funny, heart warming with stunning locations every week. Fishing venues must be queueing up to be featured.

I can’t comment on the latest series but for the first two series, the venues were all chosen by the BBC production team who contacted the fisheries, not the other way round.

Bob is as completely mad off camera as he is in front of it, it’s just him. There’s no off switch. :)

Paul has been a customer for many years, he really is as nice as he comes over on tv.
